Mr *** signed a contract with us for a 20xgarage We collected $up front We agreed to pay up to $for engineering Receipt is attached
Mr *** decided to cancel with us because he was not happy with the time it was taking in engineering, which we have no control
over Then requested a change which also added some time to the project The plans were actually completed shortly after he canceled, as soon as I had them I sent them to the customer
Mr *** changed the plans to a 20x When we contacted to the engineering company they had already completed the drawings and had to rework it We had to make a couple of trips to the engineers to make sure they were doing the plans as instructed Glenn Kelley had to draw up the building to be able to submit to the engineers as well
We are willing to negotiate our fees but the time was spent on Mr ***s project.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I do not believe the time spent on designing the garage and working with the engineering firm took eight hours @ $100 an hour totaling of $800.00.  A single round trip to the Engineering firm from the Kelley's place of business would take approximately 1 hour in normal traffic. Given the Kelley's are stating that they drove to the engineering firm twice we are talking 2 hours max plus time spent on the project. The garage design was basic 20 * 24, One Window, One Door and One Double Garage door on slab. All things considered I believe time spent on this project by the Kelley's after we contracted was a maximum of 5 hours. Based on that I am willing to accept a settlement of $1000.00 to be refunded to me by December 31st 2016. This reflects a $500 dollar fee for the engineering firm and $500.00 to cover Kelly Constructions time. Sincerely,[redacted]
