I am rejecting this response because:I think it's apparent Steve K[redacted] has a problem with the truth. First he said my problem was with drywall dust not the job itself. Once I said he didn't offer to finish the job he changed his tune and agreed the work was poorly done. How did he know the work was poorly done if he argued I had not let him back in the house? He did see the job because I sis let him in--with his camera--and paid him half of the remaining amount. The man is a liar and incompetent.Why did I pay him? Because he is an aggressive man and I was concerned for my safety.I was alone in my house. However once I found additional damage--drywalling in the outlet--I realized I wanted reimbursement and that others should know this man is not worth hiring. I didn't choose to hire an electrician instead of a drywall guy as he argues. I had the electrician come in because the young worker sent here by Mr .K[redacted]--a relative of his I may add- blew out an outlet using an electric sander. Once the electrician came in to fix that problem he said there was another outlet drywalled in that he had to cut out. That is why I want to be reimbursed. K[redacted] says he did a terrible job but thinks he deserves to keep the $600 I gave him and cost me over $300 more due to the claptrap operation he runs. He should be ashamed of himself to offer his incompetence for a fee.

I am rejecting this response because: Attached is the bill from the electrician and my cost to have him cut out the outlet the was drywalled in. I sent Mr. K[redacted] a copy of this bill by certified mail before I began this process of contacting HOME DEPOT and you. Please feel free to call the electrician as he saw the quality of the job as well and was appalled. Mr. K[redacted] never checked on the workers work. I was in the house the entire time. The young man did call him a time or two. I had to ask for the plastic. I had to ask for the vacuum cleaner. I had to ask the young man not to use screws to attach the plastic. I did not remove the plastic until I asked him not to come back.I then vacuumed and mopped and removed the plastic. I was here the whole time while Mr. K[redacted] never came by when the young man was working. I am attaching a copy of the electricians bill where he notes the electrical outlet had been drywalled in. After I asked the young man not to return in order to avoid further damage Mr. K[redacted] asked to come over. He came in the house, saw the job and I gave Mr. K[redacted] half the final payment. I also asked him to please cart out the garbage the worker left behind so he was also on my back porch. He saw the job,and had his camera in hand. He never offered to finish the job—instead he kept saying he was not going to give the worker a penny for the botched job. I have since had someone else come in to finish the job. He was also appalled at what they had done. I would like to get the amount I paid the electrician reimbursed. That would make me drop this matter. Thank you—[redacted]

Client wanted drywall work done but has no idea that it would produce dust when sanded. This young man has been working with me on other jobs and he came to me earlier in the job saying that the client kept removing the plastic from the work area before it was done and complaining about the...
dust. I suggested other methods to help keep dust to a minimum but she was still not happy. When she didn't want him to come back, I went to her house to see what it was that she was unhappy about and she wouldn't even let me see it let alone fix it. Then she refused to pay the remainder of the contract. She wouldn't let me see or fix the problem, kept $200.00 and wants me to pay for something I could have fixed easily. Now she wants me to pay someone else to fix it? I believe she can pay that bill with the money she kept from me.
