Review: On October 1st of this year I received a phone call detailing that someone in my wifes family had passed away in Kellogg Idaho.As we live in Spring Creek Nevada we needed a place to stay why we where in town for the service.My wife and I looked up Kellogg Vacation Homes and decided to choose one of there rentals to stay in from October 2nd through the 5th. When I called Mrs[redacted] she stated the house would be ready and the keys would be in a box by the back door.When I arrived at the house on the 3rd I was a little early because [redacted] and a cleaning lady where in the house.I asked her if there was any contract to sign or if she would like to do a quick walk through before I took the keys.She stated no that is fine we do not need to.So after she left me the keys and the rental I went through the house to make sure she was aware of everything that was missing or damaged so she was aware just incase she missed something.I called her and informed her what was wrong with the house.She stated if I was going to be that guy that nit picked everything,I said no I'm just covering myself since there was no contract signed.She then stated she drove around the rental and noticed there where some other people in the house,I replied we were having a family dinner to get people away from my wifes grandmas house cause she was filling sad being in the home with her husband who just passed away.[redacted] said that was fine but do not make a mess.After a hour of supper [redacted] stormed in the house and stated everyone had to leave,that there was only ten people allowed to stay at the home,I stated only seven were staying the night the rest were still here for dinner.I explained the death in the family and why the dinner with the family.[redacted] replied she didnt care who died we just all needed to leave.She never knocked on the door,she just barged in.I stated I wanted the owner of the house number.She wont not ablige me with the number so I called the local police for help and police said she has doneDesired Settlement: I was refunded for all but the first day.I was able to ocntact the owner of the house and they offered a refund for the 1st night.I've never been treated with such poor customer service or such unprofessionalism before in my entire life.The local police stated they have been called more than once for the way [redacted] has acted before.The owner was so displeased he stated he was pulling his contract with her company.I will never again contact Kellogg Vacation Homes.

The [redacted] rented a vacation rental for 4 nights. They wanted a break in the price

since they had only 5 people in their group,and this home will sleep 10. They stated they would hardly be at the house.

We agreed to a 1/2 price of $150 per night. The first night they were at the house, 12 cars were parked

around the property. There were too many people at the house, and a dog. I stopped in to see the person who

rented the house. They were rude and said they could have as many guests as they wanted. They were asked

to check out. They owner of the home was happy I responded to the abuse of the home.

Just because you are in town for a funeral, doesn't mean you don't have to abide by the rules.

We are now reluctant to rent to guests who have local families, as they tend to overload the home.

The [redacted] were refunded all but the $162.00 for the first night they stayed.

I reject the statements from the owner of Kellogg Vacation Homes. Everything stated in her response was faulse and nor was it by far more farther away from the truth. I can give seven eye witnesss statements to the conclusion of that night that will not conquer with the written behalf of Mrs. [redacted]. There was no half price asked for or given, that was the price indicated on there website, this price is less during there offseason. Off season is anytime not during the winter. This town thrives on winter due to the recreational access for the winter season. We were given a offseason price that was indicated on there website. Regarding the response given, the short response give that is there was no indication why I had to call the local authorities for the help in the matter. Why as a customer would I ever have to call the local authorities if not for the reason stated on my behalf. I am completely flabber gasted by the response given in her words. Why the indication of my family being local or from a different community should matter is beyond me. I just want to recal my first statement in the matter and to identify that my words are the truth. Local authorities, sworn staements, and a lie detector test could identify my truthfulness if the matter needed it. Number one rule in customer service is CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would agree with Mrs. [redacted] if the matter of me being a bad tenant was the truth, but nothing is more far from the truth. I'm respectful and kind to all indaviduals I deal with. My purpose of this was to identify you of the lack of respect, kindness, customer service, and knowledge of their business at Kellogg Vacation Homes. I want there acceptance of there wrong doing. This company does not require any contracts for rentals. No contract is so they can act how they will and have no paper trail to explain it.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

There was no direct contact between the Owner of the business and the [redacted] renting the vacation home. Everything the renter says is suspect because HE did NOT talk to the Owner, Several of his "guests" did when they threatened the business owner. We stand by our statements. Kellogg Vacation Homes

No matter in the event of a rejection or a acceptance there lies are still there lies. There was face to face contact between myself the renter and the owner also phone calls related to the outcome of the expierence at the rental unit. They stand by there false statements and that is up to them and there business needs. I believe a full refund should be warrented due to lack of be a better business. People need to know of every good or bad expierence and that is my purpose here is to report a bad expierence.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
