On May 18,we received a call from Mr [redacted] requestinga proposal for new central air, during the call he informed us that the currentunit he had was not cooling like it should, Mr [redacted] had a ton unitfor a 1,square feet homeMikassa set up an appointment with Mr [redacted] for a free estimate, Ms [redacted] our technician showed up to the appointmenton May 18, and confirmed him that he did need a larger unit for his homesince every sqaure feet require ton, and she suggested a Ton unitDuringthe estimate our technician checked the roof temperature using an InfraredThermometer and suggested Mr [redacted] that he needed to get better insulationinstalled since what he had was not going to be enough to help keep the housecool, MiKassa is a A/C & heating company, we have nothing to do withinsulation and we do not take responsibility with air ducts that were alreadyinstalled before Attached is a copy ofthe job agreement where it stated that the air ducts were not included andwhere Mr [redacted] signed stating he agreedIf you have any questions orconcerns please feel free to contact us ThankYou

Complaint No Mikassa installed a heat and air conditioning unit on July 21, at the residance of [redacted] , on the job agreement signed by Mrs [redacted] it states that the warranties for labor is for yearShe called us before the warranty expired and we went to fix the problems, the services performed were as follows: the unit needed freon and the reason for that was because the unit forced itself and the lines froze it was caused by the filters, she was adviced to make sure she changes the filters appropriately so that wouldn't happen againShe then called again because it was not working properly it would not blow cold air, she was told that we would be happy to help her even though her warranty had expired, for her just to give us time for when a tech would be availableUnfortunately she did not want to wait and she wanted our service right at that moment even though she was aware that her warranty had expiredIn the contract after the warranty expires she can call any ac/heat unit company for services since we have already met the terms on the contractWe apologize we have had problems with the phone lines from Mikassa but on the other hand the office is located on W Middleground dr Odessa Tx and it is not a motor home, all they have to do is make an appointment because we do estimates at customer's homes and normally the technicians and sales reps are working out of the office Attached is the contract, proof that Mikassa met with all the terms and conditions on the warranty until it expired.I appreciate the attention to this matter; if you have any questions feel free to contact me Mikassa A/C and Heating [redacted] ***

We never received a booklet stating we had to register our equipmentNor did they tell us verballyOn the contract we have it states we have a year warrantyThe company *** that we called about the equipment said that she never registers equipment and they have had many complaints with ***.We will no longer do business with Mikassa, the owner is very very rude and constantly hangs up while you are talking.

I am rejecting this response because:Yes I did call them to check out my ac system ButTell me why before checking the house out or the system out they asked me For all my informationMy social monthly incomeAnd all that so thwy can see if I got preapproved for a new system without knowingWhat was wrong You think that's right or no?? Sounds to me like they just wanted to sell the system?? I don't even consider the personWho went to my houseTo be a technician Far as I know she's the ownerDoes she have a degree in HVAC is she certified? ? She went over to my place of residenceIn the afternoon I opened the doorThe first thing she did was go to my unit inside and pull out her phoneUse it as a flash light to check what kind of system in hadThen went outside As far as I knowI did not see her pull out any kind of laserAnd do that to the roof Or celing like she claims If she did that where are her readings at That she got her temperature readingsAnywhereDoes she write them down?? She claims she recommend insualtionWhere is it stated in the paperwork no where does it say that This is a he said she said situation Just think about it If she would have recommended insualtion don't you think I would have put insulation in the house FirstThat would be cheaperThan putting a system that cost tell me what would you have done As that saidThere was no way she did anything she did She just wanted to sell the product She states on the radioThat she come with no lies or tricksShe did both to me Into buying a new system I didn't need I had to call somone elseTo come check the attic for insualtion and they did go up there And check it and did some readings not like mikassa did They charged me to do my atticThen I called someone to check my walls insualtion and they didn't have anyThey would have charged me to do the walls I didnt have enough so I just did the insulation in the attic That's still cheaper than an ac system that doesn't coolThey say the tons is enough to cool my sq foot home They stateIt's Sq feet per tonSo x is Sq feet That system should be big enough to cool the house downBut still till this dayDoesn't go below degreesShe also statedThat it was more fuel.efficientand my electric bill is over Dollars the most it has been all year And the system does not turn off all dayAnd since it's insideThe houseMakes a lot of noise and its a bother all day long I just want this fixed the right way And they have to responde to the wrong they did For lying to me and make me spend some uncessaery moneyOn somethingThat was in working conditionThat it didn't need

According to claim No#:The warranties of Labor (Installation) are 1 year, this includes anything that happens to your equipment, if there is a problem with the equipment itself the manufacturer, in this case [redacted] will replace any parts that might be broken, replacing the parts does not...

include labor after one year. Equipment warranties are issued by the manufacturer and the house owner is responsible for registering the equipment, fell free to call [redacted] customer service at [redacted] They are the only ones who will provide accurate information regarding equipment warranties. Mikassa does not understand where the home owner collected the information that it was Mikassa’s responsibility to register the equipment for them, which is not accurate. A/C & heating work is referred to mechanical work, thisdoes not include the plumbing and electrical. Mr. [redacted] contracted othercontractors for the electrical and plumbing work, since MiKassa does not dothis kind of work. The plumber is in charge of connecting the Heater and the...

electricianis in charge of connecting the compressor, since the mechanical work is alreadydone which includes ducting work. Once installation of the equipment is donethe 1 year labor guarantee which Mikassa offers start to count.  Mr. [redacted] installation was completed on01/11/2014 meaning his 1 year labor guarantee is expired. Mikassa is notresponsible for the electrical and plumbing connection to the house since weonly do Mechanical Work which was completed. When Mr. [redacted] contacted us he wasinformed there was going to be a charge since his 1 year labor guarantee wasexpired, and he did not agree. a free estimate, Ms. [redacted] our technician showed up to the appointmenton May 18, 2015 and confirmed him that he did need a larger unit for his homesince every 400 sqaure feet require 1 ton, and she suggested a 3.5 Ton unit. Duringthe estimate our technician checked the roof temperature using an InfraredThermometer and suggested Mr. [redacted] that he needed to get better insulationinstalled since what he had was not going to be enough to help keep the housecool, .
