a used 2005 Chevrolet Equinox with 142,729 miles. Per Pennsylvania state law, the customer was told the vehicle was “As-Is” and all safety related items were disclosed to the customer before purchase. The customer was told the vehicle would not currently pass inspection due to a hole in the frame, both rockers rusted and needing four tires. As Chevrolet is not our franchise brand this is a vehicle we would normally sell at the auction under full disclosure, instead of putting a lot of money in repairs to retail it. However, this customer wanted this vehicle. The vehicle was put up on a service lift, while the Sales Manager explained the needed repairs and allowed the customer and her husband to thoroughly inspect the vehicle for thirty minutes. The customer stated they had a friend who would be able to make all of the necessary repairs and, therefore, signed all required disclosure paperwork and decided to purchase the vehicle. The customer then contacted the Sales Manager a few days later. They stated their friend no longer did these type of repairs, so they took the vehicle to a competitor’s body shop.It is the customer’s statement that the body shop told them the frame could not be repaired to pass inspection due the area of frame damage. This is not the case. The vehicle is repairable. According to Pennsylvania state law the frame can be patched to pass inspection at a lower cost, or it can be reinforced with steel (due to the area) at a higher cost. Both would pass inspection. We sold the vehicle at a low price in order to leave room for either repair and it still be at or below book value. It is our contention that the customer felt their friend would be able to fix it cheaper, but got upset when, that didn’t happen. The customer has contacted the Sales Manager since this complaint was filed to state that they should not have been angry and to ask his help in finding them another vehicle. He is working with them and they are purchasing another vehicle in the next week.SincerelyWilliam K[redacted]Owner,Kelly Chrysler Jeep Dodge

Review: I bought a 2008 Ford F150 from this dealership. I bought it used as is yes. But my concern is. Is it legal for a dealership to sell you a truck with a broken leaf spring. They said the put it through there shop and only told me that the brakes would need to be replaced. When I got it home I pulled each tire off. I found the broken leaf spring and the front brake caliper was not working at all. They told me nothing about these problems. I'm very concerned. Is that legal.Desired Settlement: They replace and fix the broken leaf springs with new. And replace front brake caliper and brake pads.

Review: My boyfriend stopped there the day before just to get an idea on a how much they would give him on a trade for his car, then mentioned I may want to trade mine in depending on what they would give me for my car. They seemed to have a problem when he mentioned my car cause they already figured out a price for his and they ASSUMED just cause he was willing to bring me in that we were set on BUYING,not the case. That's what people are to do...shop around and see who will give them the best deal...Not ASSUME. So once we got there,6/6/13 (and I met my boyfriend there)They ASSUMED again that just cause we had both cars there we were trading them in that day.So needless to say once you get pulled into the wheeling and dealing they EXPECT you to buy and Honestly we felt like we couldn't leave, not that we couldn't it just makes ya feel awkward in that situation....We knew and even SAID to them that we SHOULD WAIT till we knew for SURE if we were getting a car from my Ex,so we would have two vehicles for sure. They didn't even care about what kind of situation we were ABOUT to put ourselves in,THEY just wanted the sale. So we ending up going through with the deal.they transferred all titles even before the financing went through. So once we got home and realize we just made a big mistake,I went there at 9am Monday to ask the OWNER if he would be willing stop all the paper work from going any farther. He said its to late there is nothing I can do,You wanted a truck and your stuck with it. I looked up infor about all this and if he wanted to be caring about our situation then he has all the power to stop it all, plus the financing still to this day 6/12/13 has not gone through and I told him that its not even our truck yet until financing goes through. He said well the title is in your name so its yours, but the financing didn't go through. If he just would have understood,we would have came back once we had a 2nd car for sure, but now everybody will hear how they treated us and just cared about the sale.Desired Settlement: I would like my car back in the same condition with the same rimes and tires on cause they were new....My boyfriend would like his back in the same condition as it was during trade in also. if they sold them, (which there is still a lean on the titles till they pay off our loans) Then we want reimbursed with money were not buying from them again.

Mr. [redacted] stopped in to our dealership on Friday, July 5, 2013 in the evening and was here for approximately two hours. Before closing time we thought we had reached a deal with Mr. [redacted]. However, then he asked if it would be okay for him to bring his girlfriends’ vehicle in on Saturday morning. Mr. [redacted] was told that if truly wanted to trade both vehicles in, to bring both of the vehicles to the dealership the following day. Mr. [redacted] did in fact; bring both vehicles to the dealership the following day, on July 6, 2013 at 9am. Both Mr. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] were at the dealership until approximately 2pm that day negotiating their deal and finalizing their vehicle choice. At any time during that process, they were welcome to leave of their own accord. On July 8, 2013 at 9am Ms. [redacted] arrived at the dealership. She spoke with [redacted], her sales consultant, who notified [redacted], Owner of [redacted] Chrysler Jeep Dodge. Ms. [redacted] stated that they had “buyer’s remorse” and wanted to cancel the deal. Mr. [redacted] spoke with Ms. [redacted] and explained the Pennsylvania title work had already been completed and she had already signed the title; therefore giving her back her vehicle was not an option. He did offer to trade in the 2013 Ram 1500 they purchased on July 6th for another vehicle. We have not heard from Ms. [redacted] since July 8th (other than this claim). However, Mr. [redacted] has called several times with questions regarding an extended warranty on the 2013 Ram 1500 and has expressed no interest in returning the vehicle or canceling the deal since July 8th.

At this point, our offer to trade the 2013 Ram 1500 in on another vehicle still stands. We cannot cancel the deal; as the PA state work has been done, the trades have both been paid off and the financing has been completed through [redacted], NA.

Review: I purchased a 2012 Dodge Ram Van on 4/1/2015 with a 5 year warranty for my daughter .after driving it home I noticed the exhaust sounded funny,so she returned to place of purchase to be told salesman had to ok it to be fixed. After waiting for him to be available ,it was to be ordered . To this day and many phone calls only to be told we will get back to you nothing has been done. one of my questions is .they placed a sticker on it good till 2016 and no satisfaction after receiving my cash ?Desired Settlement: Not sure if relying on them for the next 5 years is ideal.
