Review: This complaint was sent to the wrong office originally I believe. I saw this company for dental work in 2009. I was I was 21 and didnt know my dental coverages, so the lady at the front desk said she would call it in for me to see what I have available (in the north haven office). I needed to get a tooth pulled but then per the xray they saw I had other impacted teeth, that they said I should pull as well, though this was not necessary the dentist stated this is what I should do (probably just a way to get extra money as this is not what I was referred there for). When I went there I told the dentist and the assistant that anesthesia doesnt work well for me. I did not realize they charged me $350 for anesthesia and then after (as I had told them) the anesthesia failed, they made 2 more attempts charged $175 for each additional shot of anesthesia. I was told that this would be covered by my medical so I provided both my dental and medical card. I never recd a phone call or bill. I recently pulled my credit report and saw this collection agency stating I owe the funds from this dental visit. I contacted them to get more information and no one would help me as far as getting these charges resolved. I do not feel I should be responsible for this $650 anesthesia charge when I told the dentist and assistant that just being numbed would be good enough because anesthesia doesnt work for in the past. That would be me verbally declining yet they tried anyways 3 times and then charged me these ridiculous fees. The insurance covered the real part of the visit BUT these fees are not credible. I signed nothing for these charges and I would like this to be deleted from my credit file and charges waived.
