this complaint should be filed thru his warranty company. This contract is between them and him. We are contracted thru his warranty company and are a 3rd party. They have denied his claim of any further work to be completed because of his ductwork being undersized. Again we have nothing to do with...

coming back out to his home.We report thru them not Daniel [redacted]. His contract is with Home Security of America. I emailed Daniel letting him know that the warranty company denied any further work until his ductwork problem is corrected. He needs to work thru them not thru us. I don't thing he understands this! His claim was filed thru them and must be taken up with them. Please advise him to contact therm directly.Thank YouLaura [redacted]Kelly's HVAC LLC

I would like to cancel the complaint since I was able to work out with Kelly HVAC. I am completely satisfied by the level of service provided by this business.

Kelly's HVAC LLC came out to our residence and determined that the heat exchanger was wore out and needed to be replaced. Was verbally quoted that entire replacement would be covered under HSA home owners warranty. Later after filing claim, Kelly's HVAC LLC decided claim would cost around $400.00-$700.00 total. Claim ended up totaling $1,600.00 - $1,700.00. I called and expressed my disappointment and misunderstanding from the original quote. After negotiating the price discrepancy, Kelly's HVAC LLC said they could reduce the total cost by $400.00 by not filing for an electrician to pull a permit and hook up an on/off switch for the furnace. Instead the "homeowner" (me) would have to use the breaker switch in the electrical control panel. I was told this part after the work was complete when I did a walk through and asked why there was no on/off switch and why there was exposed wires coming off the furnace, he stated that he thought he had told me this.

On three separate dates to begin new installation of furnace. No call and no showing up. I had taken off work for the three days to meet the start time. Finally Kelly's HVAC LLC showed up to begin installation of new furnace. Disconnected the entire existing furnace "which was at the time at least working" and then realized that they did not have a Liquid Propane conversion kit. This was a Friday and was told that they would not be able to get a conversion kit until Monday. It was winter with the temperature being 5 degrees and my worry was that we would have pipes freeze and major damage caused to our house, as well as very small children and a pregnant wife in the freezing cold house. Kelly's HVAC LLC came back later the same evening and brought two small electrical heaters and helped my wife start a fire in the fireplace. The attempt to maintain the heat in a 3,000+ sq. ft. house was an epic fail and my pregnant wife two kids under 2 ended up staying at the grandparents because of the dropping temperature in the house.

Sunday Kelly's HVAC LLC was able to get a part for the furnace and start getting heat back into the house. Due to miss measurKelly's HVAC LLC needed to make parts for the air duct system and still needed to come back another time to finish this.

Two more no shows until [redacted] showed up with the final piece of the duct work.

Lastly the dual zoning was not installed and we had to again wait, and reschedule multiple times.

Finally all was complete, we contacted HSA and notified them that though the owner [redacted] from Kelly's HVAC LLC was courteous, he was not in anyway good at being able to perform his job in a responsible or timely manner. And it was beyond annoying that he constantly was a no show and canceled dozens of times.

Kelly's HVAC LLC took off $100.00 from the total bill to try and compensate for the dozen plus times of not showing up when scheduled, not having the correct parts, not finishing the job in a timely manner, not fully completing the job with the incorrect wiring, and for going over more than double from their original quote.

Fast forward to January 6Th, 2014 less than a year from the installation. I talked with [redacted] about how my furnace was shutting off, and how with record low temps in the -40's F, I was very worried. At this time my furnace had shut down 4 times. While on the phone I told [redacted] the error code reading and he said there is a recall on my furnace and that he would come out to fix it the part that was recalled, while it was covered under warranty.

He said he would not be able to make it out the day of my call (a Friday) but that he would call tomorrow and we would schedule a day to fix it. At this time over the phone [redacted] had directed me to turn the breaker switch off for 3-4 minutes and that this should reset the furnace and allow it to restart. My thermostat in my house when I called was at 58 F and dropping. This was starting to worry me.

I did not hear anything back from him for two days. I called again on the 8th and he covered the same information over the phone. He was to get the part and come over to fix the furnace. I followed up again on the 10th of January and he said the 11th would work. I confirmed that the 11th would be our start date with a detailed text message which he asked me to send to him. I left in the text message Body...

full name

full address

make and model of furnace

note: that the furnace was converted to LP " so he would not disable my furnace again for the second time during the winter without the correct parts"

and the error code from the furnace and what the furnace definition was "pressure switch Lockout"

and that we would meet early Saturday morning and it would be fixed free under warranty

All of this was sent in two text messages.

That night (Friday) at 8:15 pm I do not get a call, but a text stating...

"They are out of new pressure switches till Monday"

At this point I realize AGAIN that [redacted], the owner of Kelly's HVAC LLC, is canceling and quite possibly lying to get out of having to make a service call that he will not make money on. I reply with "We will not be available until after 4:00 p.m. on Monday. If there is any way to make tomorrow work. This would definitely be the best option. I fear the furnace going and pipes bursting."

[redacted] replies with "You would have to call a Lennox dealer"

Jan. 11Th 2014 I took off on Monday and stayed home but no one called or showed up from Kelly's HVAC LLC.

January 20th a whole week had passed and my wife calls Kelly's HVAC LLC office number and talks with the wife and secretary of Kelly's. She explains that Kelly's HVAC LLC is not an authorized installer/dealer of Lennox and that we will need to contact a Lennox dealer to receive the part. They are not authorized to sell Lennox parts. (why did they install our entire Lennox furnace then?)

January 20th I follow up with a call to [redacted], the owner of Kelly's HVAC LLC to leave a voicemail explaining that this is not acceptable or good business that he is running. We want our furnace fixed so the threat of broken pipes and furnace is eliminated.

[redacted] calls back and tells me that he called to tell me no one was coming out the on the 11th. I re-read the saved text message to him. He told me to find an authorized installer and that I should have contacted Lennox myself.

I explained he is the contractor that installed the furnace and warrantied it, he should be doing his part of the contract that I paid for and honoring his warranty. He was yelling over the phone and would not allow me to even talk. I told him I was going to contact the Revdex.com to let them know and he stated " I do not have to honor the warranty, I will never step foot in your house again, I am done doing business with you, and hung up.

Bottom line I have a date by date list that covers all and more of this entire mess that we got wrapped up in. I would NOT recommend this contractor or his affiliates to anyone wanting to have their work finished, working right, and completed in a timely manner. Originally [redacted] the owner of Kelly's HVAC LLC was at least friendly and courteous. If a contractor is not good at his job, the least he can be is friendly and nice, but when a contractor is swearing at you over the phone and telling you he will not honor his warranty that you paid for, that's when I draw the line. I work hard for my money I have a wife and kids to take care, I don't want other people having to deal with a guy like this and deal with the same unfinished job that I'm having to deal with.

Kelly's has always been honest and given a much better price than the competitors. He may not always be on time, but he will give you an honest deal and do it correctly!!!

2X the quote. Don't waste your time and money. Kelly's HVAC was not familiar with Rheem furnance. Tried to install wrong part and "retro fit it". It did not work. After days and days of trying; they went to the Rheem distributor. Who informed them it would never work with the wrong part. they got them the right part and it was fixed in one hour. To make matters worse they charged for all their mistakes and extra time.
