This company failed to repair my lawn mower correctly. I took it back for the same problem. They charged another fee to repair the same problem.On 09/23/2013 I took my lawn mower to Kellys for repairs. They keep the mower for several days. We called but did not get an answer. I finally went by and talked with one of the technicians. He stated that he had not gotten to it but will call when repaired. We paid $72.47 for the repairs. The repair ticket indicated that they installed a carb kit, changed plug, and added gas and oil. On 09/27/2013 I used the mower once to cut my front yard. On 10/03/2013 I asked one of my workers to cut the grass. My maintenance supervisor said it was just a small amount of gas in the container. He informed me that he poured it out and got fresh gas. My worker tried to cut the grass but the mower keep cutting off. We took it back to [redacted] and informed them that the mower was not fixed and that it was still doing the same thing. We called twice to inquire about the mower. Ms. Kelly answered the phone and stated that they were going to get on it. On 10/08/2013 I went by the shop to inquire about the mower. Ms [redacted] informed me that they will start on it today. We got a call stating that the mower has been repaired and the cost was around $24.00. She said that the gas we used had trash in it and that caused the same problem. We changed the oil and gas before ever taking it to [redacted]. She stated that they had to clean and adjust the carb. This should have been done when the carb kit was installed. On the repair ticket it was stated that they added gas to the mower. I told Ms. [redacted] that my maintenance man had just purchased the gas and that I was not going to pay for repairs that should have been done correctly the first time. In a loud and angry voice she said "either you pay or you are not getting your mower. Then she hung the phone up on me. This type of behavior is not good for customer relations. I have been a regular customer and to be treated in that manner really hurts. I have read and heard complaints filed against [redacted] Small Engine Repair. They have lost a good customer. I am a small business owner and I would never treat my customers and clients this way. We follow a strict code of ethics. I will fax a copy of the invoice. The invoice does not have the name of the shop, the address nor the telephone number. I had to look in the Yellow Pages to get the telephone number. It appears that this shop is trying to hide something or they just do not want to be bothered. I believe in doing the right thing in all relationships. Desired SettlementI only want my lawn mower. It is not the money but the principle of the matter. I do not plan to pay Kellys Small Engine Shop one red cent. I hope this matter can be resolved without litigation. Kellys is a small company and I believe that small businesses drive the economy.
