Very disappointed with Hyundai, we assumed it would be safer to deal with the dealership where our vehicle came from than a garage but we see that we were very wrong. Last November we brought our vehicle in for service and tire change. We then brought it back in the spring to put our regular tires back on, only to find out they didn't put our winters on in November. We drove the Coquihalla that winter with our baby! Not only that but each time we have received an outrageous list of things that absolutely HAD to be fixed on our vehicle, one time being quoted over $4,000. At this point we got a second opinion because we didn't have that kind of money to spend and we were already nervous considering they didn't change our tires. The second garage then told us it wasn't necessary. We brought our vehicle into another garage this November for the service and tire change. They not only didn't give us a list of things needing to be fixed, saying our vehicle was in good shape but mentioned that there were valves with the wrong lids which would create corrosion overtime, at which time we would have to replace the valves and that would be awfully expensive. They changed them to the correct valve lids at no charge. This vehicle, when purchased, was told it has always been going to a Hyundai garage... were they the ones that put the wrong valves on then?! We are outraged and horribly disappointed. Thankfully we have found a wonderful garage that we feel comfortable and safe with. We've always been a fan of our vehicle but we don't know that we would buy another Hyundai solely based on this disappointing service at the garage. I would never recommend them and do not feel safe leaving my vehicle in their hands.
consumer treated unfairly not offered a warranty. loaners were only put out for higher income earners. communication (none) its all about them put on the side burner. granted one person came out of their way to help us for one day. hid information that was imperative to our safety. ignored when we tried to get something done. left messages no returns. Would not take the proper steps to insure our safety etc bringing it into the shop. Ignored when we tried to trade to something safer.
