This customer ordered a replacement part number which we have sold numerous times to other customers with perfect results. Some time after purchasing it, he informed us that he in fact needed a different item size, which we cross referenced to another, similar item in the same family of
parts. It is our belief that the customer utilized an incorrect replacement part number (which is not uncommon in our industry), either from their own research, or as provided to them by their own customer. We took the incorrectly ordered item back for credit, less a restocking charge of 25%, which is utilized to inspect and repackage the item so that it could be placed back into inventory and sold to other customers. In cases such as this, such a charge is a standard industry procedure and fitting with these circumstancesWe are sorry that the customer did not contact us personally to address this issue first

I am rejecting this response because:  There is not a response, only a copy of the return authorization.  We are disputing paying  the return freight as we should not be responsible as the business sent us the wrong part.
