Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: (1) The business’ response supports my conclusion that they released my handgun to someone whom they believed to me but were mistaken.  I never told them (K.E.M Armors) that I was at a range and drove off.  When I did return to them to inquire about the status of my handgun, by way of idle conversation, I was asked if I was the one who drove off with my handgun on my vehicle from a range and I responded by saying ‘no’ that wasn’t me.  I further explained that I drove off with my handgun on the rear bumper of my vehicle from my home.  (2) I have never met nor seen [redacted] so she did not wait on me or take payment from me for the Bersa.  When I visited the store and informed them that I did not picked up my weapon, I was shown that my weapon was indeed paid for by someone.  When I told the gentleman helping me that it was not me who picked up my handgun he proceeded to call someone to inquire about the transaction.  While they were on the phone I could hear the woman on the other end asking, several times, if the gentleman in question (me) was black. I mentioned this because that particular question leads me to believe that whomever my handgun was sold to was of dark complexion, I am not.  Also, when I informed him that it was not me who paid for my handgun, the gentleman said that they (K.E.M Armors) would track down the recipient through payment method to find out who it was that they released my handgun to.  Since I am writing this response, we can all assume that it did not happen.(3) I have never sustained a head injury.  At no time did I tell anyone in any setting that I have ever sustained a head injury in the middle east that causes me memory problems. (4) At the bottom of the attached claim ticket it is written in bold and caps “Save this check you must present it to claim your property”.  I still have the claim ticket that is needed to claim my handgun.  This claim ticket was never presented because I still have it.  I asked how my handgun could have been sold to someone else if I still have the claim ticket and I asked how my handgun could have been sold without showing proper identification.  I was told that, before this incident, identification was not checked.  They (K.E.M Armors) claimed they knew it was me because of the range story, which was a story I did not tell.I have emailed K.E.M Armors many, many times through their webpage link and facebook page concerning this and have never received a response which is why I contacted the Revdex.com.  Looking over the documents that K.E.M Armors attached, I do not understand the purpose of page 4.  There is nothing on page 4 that concerns me nor my handgun.  I do see entry 7 that is crossed out, is that supposed to be the time my handgun was picked up?  I did contact an [redacted] who took my report and told me that since the store (K.E.M Armors) was not burglarized and that my handgun was simply sold to the wrong person that myreport couldn’t be considered theft and that he would still make inquiries, I never heard back from [redacted]

Demetrius Davis

Up to now, I have only had very good service with Kelley M[redacted] and K.E.M. Armors. Im involved in a transaction with this business and am unable to contact them. They don't answer their phone nor are they open during their normal hours.

On 10-16-2013, a customer identified as [redacted] brought in a gun to be repaired. The gun...

was a Bersa Thunder .380 caliber pistol [redacted]. [redacted] advised he was at the range and left the gun on the car and drove off. The gun had "Road rash "on the exterior and had been run over. We logged the weapon in and fixed it. On 10-18-2013 [redacted] came in and picked the weapon up. My wife [redacted] waited on him. [redacted] was pleased with the repairs and paid the bill and left. Approximately a month later, [redacted] called and wanted to know the status on his gun. I advised [redacted] he had picked the weapon on 10-18-2013. [redacted] advised "no", he did not pick up the weapon. I advised him "yes" he did we have the receipt andy. records of the transaction. This went on for a week and then I didn't hear from him for a month. Approximately a month later, [redacted] called and asked the same question he wanted to know the status on his gun. Again I advised him of the date he picked the weapon up from us. A week goes by and [redacted] came to the shop wanting his weapon. I showed him the receipt where he picked it up and he advised it was not him, We talked for a few minutes and everything was all right. Then [redacted] stated that he sustained head injuries while he was serving in the Middle East. [redacted] stated that he has a hard time remembering things ever since the injury. My co-worker [redacted], wth me as [redacted] told the story. We finished talking and [redacted] left the store. A couple of days pass and I got a phone call from [redacted] from the Bell County Sheriffs Department, [redacted] stated [redacted] had filed the stolen property report against us. I told [redacted] the story and faxed him all of the paper work regarding the incident That was the last time I heard anything about it.
