[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: After submitting Complaint to Revdex.com MrK [redacted] came to my house on august and explained that he had some personal problems which kept him busy and apologized We understood his situation and decided to allow him to start the job under the condition that he had to pull out permit to start the job He actually came next day August with permit and explained that now he needed City, PPL, and Water Authority inspectors to come over and give him the ok to start the jobHe came Aug at about 12:until 2:to drill sidewalk and break concrete He left broken concrete there over the weekend and didn't even enclosed area of work properly to ensure public safety My husband used caution tape left there on the ground by MrK [redacted] and properly enclosed area It took MrK [redacted] one week (Aug18-Aug 22) to just remove concrete from sidewalkHe kept coming for just one to two hours to work on itHe came about three times that week only The following week( Aug 25-29) he came twice for 1/to 1hr to remove some dirt out and expose some tree's roots Sept 2, I called to find out what was going onMrK [redacted] explained that he was waiting on a phone call from tree inspector He asked me to call tree inspector and I said that he should call him himself because it was better for him to get a direct explanation I decided to call inspector myself to find out what was going on I was told that MrK [redacted] was supposed to get a phone call that maybe he didn't get it I was also told to give MrK [redacted] a phone call to tell him to call back which I did immediately I left message for MrK [redacted] to call Tree inspector on voice mail because he didn't answer phone I didn't hear anything from MrK [redacted] until Sept at 7:when he finally called and said that City inspector was coming at 9;and that MrSanchez needed to be present during meeting I said that it was ok that he was going to be presentAt 9:MrK [redacted] showed up but inspector didn't MrK [redacted] called City of [redacted] He seemed very upset as he said that the inspector didn't showed up for appointment He sounded very rude and unprofessional while talking on the phone and went off saying that he didn't have time to be waiting around for inspector to come over After the conversation on the phone with City of [redacted] Representative he (MrK [redacted] ) told my husband to tell tree inspector to call him back I called tree inspector my self and was told that the appointment was for 9:not 9:as MrK [redacted] had said Tree inspector showed up at 9:25am and I called MrK [redacted] He didn't answer phone call At that point I decided to leave voice mail saying that we had decided to get someone else to finish the sidewalk job and that it was ok for him to keep money for job that he had done so far We hired someone else to finish sidewalk job and are very happy with outcome The job was done in two and half days Contractor was very professional and did and extraordinary jobWhen I asked MrK [redacted] July 1st how long this job was going to take he said to daysWe waited for almost two months for this job to be done but MrK [redacted] took too long as he was only dedicating one to two hours on random days to do job Everything would of being so easy to handle if MrK [redacted] would of communicate better with usI felt that I had to be calling him to find out what was going on all the time which shouldn't be the case Regards, [redacted] ***

Review: We contacted Mr. Harold K[redacted] to replace the sidewalk in front of our House on July, 2014 and it was agreed that he was going to start job on July 14, 2014 and as of today July 30th 2014 he hasn't started anything. I contacted him on July 21 and he said he was coming July 23rd to start job. He came place three poles and caution tape on area of job to be done and failed to come back. He left message explaining that he needed clearance from City of [redacted] to start job. I called to verify if a permit was pulled by Mr.K[redacted] but it was said to me that he didn't pulled any permit out. Therefore I would like money back that I paid Mr.K[redacted] ahead of time. Since he didn't start job as promised and it seemed like he hasn't done anything to get anything done I would like money back. Last time I spoke to him he said he has clearance to start next day but it wasn't true because I was told he didn't have pulled a permit.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back .

Review: Mr. Kemmerer did miscellaneous repairs around the house. He did not complete all repairs according to the contract he got all his money I have been trying to reach him for over 2 months to complete the work and get no replyDesired Settlement: as soon as possible

Review: On Friday 7/18/2014; Harold K[redacted] had called from his cell phone; ###-###-####.

We scheduled an appointment for lunch time that same day fo rhim to provide me an estiamte for replacing my garage roof.

Upon his arrival and looking at my garage roof. We had agreed that I would buy the materials. And he would provide the tools and labor for a cost of $900.

Since he did not take credit cards. It was agreed that for a deposit of $100. He would stop by my home on Monday 7/21/2014 and temporarily cover the garage roof with a tarp.

And the replacement of the garage roof would occur when I had the balance of cash. So we scheduled replacing of the roof on Sunday August 17, 1014.

I made special arrangements with my employer to work from home Monday 7/21/2014. So I could be here when he installed the tarp.

Harold K[redacted] never showed up.

So I called his work phone # ###-###-#### in the late afternoon, left a message which included my name, phone number, and the reason for my calling.

He called me back at nearly 10pm, sounding a bit incoherent , not knowing the name of who he was calling, and thought I had called about an estimate for a sidewalk.

Once I identified myself and reminded him about my garage roof. He said had a busy day and had worked late.

Once I said I wanted my $100 back. He changed his story and said he was in a car crash today.

After once again saying I wanted my money back. he started yelling and swearing at me.

I have since researched complaints about his business online. And I see that there are several complaints about him taking deposits and not delivering the service.Desired Settlement: refund cash.

Review: On June 6th, we contracted Harold Kemmerer and Sons to install 6 Double Hung Windows/Insulated and capped. He claimed a week to get the windows in and no more than two days of install and clean up. He also claimed that it would not subcontract the work out. He was a complete no show, no call for the better part of a month. We placed several calls to him during this time. After finally reaching him Mr. Kemmerer agreed to have windows installed on July 1st or he would give us our money back. On July 1st Smith & Son Construction showed up early in the morning and started installing the windows. When the subcontracted crew were done putting the windows in they said Harold would do all the caulking, hanging of trim and clean up. At this time Mr. Kemmerer smeared mortar all over our brick, and the other crew wanted him to go to the bank to pay them. He then asked us if he could get $1000 more of the payment to pay them and that he would return and finish the job which he said would be an hour tops. That was a huge mistake. He left with the other crew and failed to return or call us leaving our house in shambles. From this point on he's returned every now and then after I would call him and complain about not finishing the work. He brought his wife along and had a major fight with her out in the open which led to my neighbors complaining to me. It's now Aug 1st and I'm worse off than I was on July 1st. The job isn't done.Desired Settlement: I think his license should be pulled so he's not able to take advantage of another family or an elderly person. It would be nice to get some money back, at least the labor portion of it to help complete the job and correct all his poor workmanship, mistakes, and clean up. I have photos and video of the entire process. I do not want Mr. Kemmerer anywhere near my property ever again. I'm hoping to prevent this from happening to anyone else!

Review: To Whom It May Concern:

I hired [redacted] Kemmerer to replace some flashing on my roof. He was suppose to do this work on May 7th, 2014. He said he would be there at 9am. I had to work that day, so my dad came over to my house. I called my dad at 9am that day and he said that [redacted] was not there yet. I contacted [redacted] on his cell phone and he said he would be there by lunch time. I got home at 2:40 that afternoon and [redacted] still wasn't at my house. I called him again on his cell phone and he said that he wasn't going to be able to make it. I proceeded to ask him when he was going to be able to make it. I explained to him when I signed a contract with him on May 1, 2014, he said that May 7th would be fine. He didn't even have the courtesy to call and say he wasn't going to be able to make it. He hung up on me that day. I haven't heard or seen him since. He did however cash my check for $175.00 which was 1/2 the cost of the job which he required. I left a message for him at his home and cell on May 7th, He proceeded to turn his cell phone off after he hung up with me. He refuses to return any of my calls from that day. I have a copy of the cancelled check from my bank along with the contract that we both signed. I will gladly forward this information to you if you wish. I appreciate alll your help in this matter.Desired Settlement: I either want this job completed or my money back. He basically took my money and took off. I don't see how anyone with a conscious can do this to someone. I work 2 jobs just to save up money so I can get things repaired in my home.
