Recommended gutter guard sold to us with new roof does not work even after several adjustments & owner refuses to remove and replace with prev style After examining our roof, Mainstream installed their recommended roof and gutter guards in Feb for a big cost of $14,The gutter guards were supposed to keep debris and leaves out of the gutters while allowing rain to flow into the guttersThe first rain ran over the guards like a waterfall, causing damage to a new sidewalk because water flowed down and under the sidewalk then froze instead of into the gutters We had water in our basement for the first time ever, plus the rain flow caused the threshold on a door to swell and we have a hard time closing itUpon calling to see if the guards were installed properly, we were told they were and the workers installed several diverters intended to spread out flow of water betterThey did not solve the problem and just got filled with debris from the trees and made matters worse
