Mr. [redacted]I have reviewed your complaint and I understand your issue and concerns.  Our Toyota technicians are highly trained and skilled in the work they perform on Toyota vehicles.  The technician noted a leaking water pump most likely by seeing a calcium build up that is evidence of a...

leak in today's high temperature engine environments.  The recommendation for replacement of the timing belt was due to the fact that there was overlapping labor involved, meaning we would be incurring the labor to get to the belts while performing the water pump replacement, so it is cost efficient to perform that service at that time, and due to the fact that the belt met Toyota's recommended time replacement of 7 years.  We never intend to scare our customers into paying for service, but we also want to be thorough in our inspections.  Our Service Manager would like to contact you to discuss the issue and perhaps have you bring your vehicle in for him to inspect to ensure there was not a technician error.  Either way, we want to make this right for you.  Please let me know if you're agreeable to speak with our Service Manager.Andrew B[redacted]CFOKendall Auto Group

Greetings Revdex.com and [redacted].  We are so sorry to hear about this recent experience. Our goalis to provide the best service possible and we are always disappointed whensomeone feels as if they didn’t get that. You have mentioned in your requestyou would like to find a similar vehicle...

at a similar price or if that is notpossible you would like a written apology from a sales manager. As a KendallManager I would like to extend both of those solutions to you. First off we areso sorry you were unable to purchase the vehicle you hadselected. You are an important customer to us and we arevery sorry if you didn’t feel that way after your experience. The vehicle was posted clearly on ourwebsite at an advertised price. We had not collected a deposit or paperwork fromyou yet and we had a customer who had seen the vehicle and wanted to purchase it.When a vehicle is advertised and it has not been sold we are required to sellit to those who are willing and able to buy that vehicle. I apologize thatsomebody came down and purchased it before you were able to make it back to thedealership. We really feel badly that you are unhappy and hope you accept ourapology. We would have happily called but the transaction literally happenedminutes before your arrival. In regards to finding something else for you wewould be happy to do that. As I’m sure you know no two used vehicles are alike. What I ask of you is to please call [redacted] at [redacted] and we will seewhat we can accomplish for you. Unlike a new car no two pre-owned vehicles areexactly the same but we will do our best to find you an excellent value onsomething. Perhaps we might even find something more to your like then theother vehicle. Thanks for your time, we apologize for any hardship we may havecaused you and look forward to assisting you into a different vehicle. Best,Kendall Toyota of Bend

We have verified through staff interviews that Mr. [redacted] requested financing through Northwest Community Credit Union in a conversation with the salesperson William B[redacted].  That information was conveyed to Anne B[redacted] the business manager of record.  Anne verified on the Northwest...

Community Credit Union rate sheet based on the customer Equifax score signed by Mr. [redacted] at the time of sale that Mr. [redacted] would qualify for 6.29 APR for the 84 month term written.  Anne states that she verified with Mr. [redacted] that she was offering a rate of 4.99 APR through Toyota Financial Services. We would have written the loan through Northwest Community Credit Union at the higher rate had that request been made.  Northwest Community did offer at the time a rate of 4.29 APR to their customers with an A or an A+ rating. That is usually the rate displayed on their websites and in branches with appropriate disclosure.  We apologize if there was any miscommunication on our part, but we feel as though we provided a valuable service to the customer by beating the credit union's quoted rate of 6.29 APR.

Kendall Toyota in Miami, Florida sold a used car that had previously been in an accident as NEW.
I bought a NEW 2016 TOYOTA RAV4. Disconcerting issues with the vehicle were immediately apparent. Excessive heat was being emitted from under the car, only one set of keys to the car were given to us, there was an imperfection on the driver's seat and the manufacture date was November 2015 while all other new Toyota RAVA4s on the lot had manufacture dates in 2016.
No valid explanation was provided for any of these issues. Unsatisfied with Kendall Toyota's responses, we decided to conduct research on the car ourselves. The CARFAX report associated with the VIN # of the "New" vehicle that we purchased revealed the vehicle had been previously purchased and had been in an accident.
When Kendall Toyota's Certified Sales Manager was presented with the CARFAX report, he gave an excuse about incomplete records and said it was , "AN HONEST MISTAKE."
However, the odometer reading when we first took possession of the RAV4 was 40 miles. Given their untrustworthy behavior, they may have tampered with the odometer.
Moreover, shortly after we returned the used vehicle to Kendall Toyota and demanded that they take back the car, that very same car, ( VIN #2T3ZFREV9GWXXXXXX) was listed on their website as NEW inventory.
