This customer did not notify us of their desire to cancel service until after the month had already started Everyone of our invoices clearly state our refund policy regarding cancellation of pool service. See below. This is the message we sent to the customer If
you can show us some proof that you contacted us on October 17, or before than we can talk about a refund. If you can not provide some kind of proof that you cancelled service on or before that time then we stand behind our Cancellation Policy. CANCELLATION POLICY: We require a minimum of BUSINESS DAYS NOTICE before canceling serviceIf we are notified of cancellation less than business days, any refund or credits due will not be refunded.There is nothing to discuss This customer was fully aware of our policy and they did not comply with our contract with them

I do not accept the business response. Their cancellation policy is vague. It does not specify you have to cancel 10 days before what date. The first of the month? So if you cancel the 2nd of the month and they haven't provided any service they just take your money? Their cancellation policy is weak at best and not specific. It is my contention that they were paid, they didn't do any service and I have a right to be reimbursed. As I stated I have several emails that #1 said we canceled befor November 1st however my Fiancé texted messaged the owner. I only have the email I sent on November 2nd following up and clarifying we were cancelling service and I stipulated in the email that my fiancé had text and called to cancel service. I am willing to accept the 10 days at the beginning of the month even though they didn't perform the service and take a prorated return of funds. In conclusion, the cancellation policy is vague. It needs to stipulate when notice is given and when they will stop service. At no time should a company be able to just take someone's payment without conducting service. Very unfair business practice.
