I have spoken to other home inspectors and recent home buyers who have all said the same thing - the HVAC should have been tested, regardless of the temperatures that day. FURTHERMORE, I have had multiple licensed HVAC contractors say there are clear visible problems -mechanical and safety related- that should have been addressed by Mr. [redacted] during the inspection and on his report. These a problems that can be seen and acknowledged WITHOUT TURNING ON the unit. If Mr. [redacted] had done a comprehensive and honest job, we could have addressed the issues with the Seller prior to closing.
