Review: My husband had surgery back in 2013 and KGH Anesthesiology group was one of the providers for the procedure. There was a problem with our insurance company processing the claim, so my husband contacted the providers and set up payment plans to keep the accounts current until the issue could be straightened out. KGH Anesthesiology Group sent our account to collections despite the payments we made. When I received the notice from the collection company I called KGH Anesthesiology Group and offered to pay the account in full if they would pull it out of collections and reimburse us when the insurance paid them. On July 31, 2014 [redacted] at KGH Anesthesiology Group accepted my payment in full of $1060 over the phone and assured me the collection action would be cancelled. She also assured me that I would be reimbursed when the insurance paid them. Our insurance did pay them in November of 2014. On the 21st of that month I called KGHAnesthesiology Group to make sure they'd been paid. For nearly thirty days they told us that the account was never paid or that the payments had not been posted or that the account was still in collections. It took until December of 2014 for them to concede that they had not only been paid, but overpaid and that we were due a refund of $958.18. When I called on December 29, 2014 to inquire about our refund I was told to allow 30-60 days from December 19. When my husband called February 2, 2015 he was told to allow 30-60 days from January 2. Every single time we ask for a supervisor we are told that we cannot speak with one, but one will call us back within 24 hours. We've been waiting since November 21. My appeals to central billing at Trios Hospital (formerly KGH) have gone unanswered. Please help me track down our refund.
