Review: Translation:

I, [redacted] took my 1974 Ford F250 to Kenny's Auto Repair. AAA took the truck there on 10/15/2015 so that a diagnostic could be prepared. That same day the mechanic gave me a call back and told me that there were issues with the Fuel Pump, spark plugs, distriburator points for $360.00 and included was the $95 diagnostic fee. He explained that a new distriburator and carburetor would be needed, and I authorized him to work on the truck. Then I was told in addition to that that there were transmission issues, along with needing a new radiator. We agreed on a new price of $830.00. I got a call on 11/17/2015 from the shop to tell me that the truck was ready, but they had found other issues. The next day I got another call that the truck was ready. When I got to the shop and tried to start the truck there was a misfire, and the truck would not start. The mechanic mentioned that the points were the issue again, and it seems like they were burned out. I went back to the shop on 11/20/2015, but the mechanic I was working with, [redacted], was not there. He called me later that night, was insulting me, yelling at me and mentioned that the price he had quoted me was no longer valid, and I was no longer allowed at his shop at all. Due to how he spoke to me, and his attitude I had no choice but to file a police report that day. However, they said they were not going to get involved . The police officer told me that if the truck was in my name I could go pick it up at anytime, and work on the price. I wanted to see if the company would call me over the weekend. but I heard nothing. On 11/23/2015, I went back to the police department and they still refused to help me. That same the mechanic gave me a call, and said that the total amount owed was $1992.29, and they were not taking any checks, or money orders. It was strictly by credit or debit card, or cash. He said that if I did not pick up the truck within the next 3 days there would be a $25 fee added to the bill for everyday after that.Desired Settlement: Resolution:

I agreed to pay the $830 in total not nearly $2000. I never signed any form of estimate from the business, nor was I ever told about the new amount owed. I would have rethought the amount and work. I do not have anything from him in writing, I do have receipts for parts that I had purchased that were used as well.
