Kens Affordable Auto Sales Reviews (8)

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below While the business may have attempted to correct the original issue with the ABS (which never should have occurred), upon inspection by a certified auto mechanic, it was found that the correction was not completed properly and in order to get the correction to a safe conclusion, the certified mechanic had to perform an additional amount of work with additional cost I have also found that through the work that was and was not done correctly, that the initial reason for bringing the vehicle in (a four wheel alignment) cannot be considered completed properly as well (on the front two wheels) This is the reason for requesting a refund on the original work plus compensation for the additional work which was need to make the vehicle safe for driving I will deem this complaint resolved if a refund of original payment plus the cost of additional work is paid Regards, [redacted]

I have responded three times. We took care of the customer. I appoligized to the customer, installed a $ABS sensor and hub bearing for free. Customer left happy and satisified. I appologized once again and shook his hand. I do not feel that I need to reimburse the original cost or any other expense, because I fixed the problem. The car is safe and back together properly.*** ***

It's clear *** has no desire to accept responsibility for faulty workThis is displayed in his response to my complaint as well as othersThe mechanic I went to is not scamming and is only looking for my vehicle to run safe which is not what Bill was looking forIn May when I went for the last repair, Bill did not test drive nor did he work on my vehicle, he had another mechanic do the workHe clearly did not check the work of his employee and allowed for my vehicle to leave the shop improperly repaired

On Feb 19th we fixed her car and test drove it and all functions were working properly , just recently she said she took the car to another shop and they stated the parts were put on improperly which is impossibleA hub bearing assembly can only be put on one way, the one side has a flat surface
which bolts onto the spindle and the other side has the wheel studs outward , for the wheel to bolt toThe cv axle runs thru the hub bearing and spindle , there simply is no way to install the parts backwards or upside downThere are garages who will tell customers that other garages work is faulty, because they need more work so they bad mouth others workThere is simply no way to install these part s backwards or upside down, they only fit one wayThe car worked perfectly for eight months She only needed a oil change She should go back to the other garage and ask why they changed out correctly installed parts that had installed properlyThe parts were installed properly and that you could not even drive it out of the garage if not put together incorrectlyThat's called a scam..Brian H***

abs wire got torn by mistake , so I replaced it and the hub assembly for free , about a $cost normally and gave my apology .he had no further costs so I don't feel there is any further action required , he has been compensated to the full extent .*** ***

Company states that the issues have been resolved and had the consumer in last week.

there is no issue other than buyers remorse, there is only one way to install the parts ,they cannot go in backwards, it ran good for eight months . The only reason she visited a garage was for a oil change and another garage sold her more work she did not need.

Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
While the business may have attempted to correct the original issue with the ABS (which never should have occurred), upon inspection by a certified auto mechanic, it was found that the correction was not completed properly and in order to get the correction to a safe conclusion, the certified mechanic had to perform an additional amount of work with additional cost.  I have also found that through the work that was and was not done correctly, that the initial reason for bringing the vehicle in (a four wheel alignment) cannot be considered completed properly as well (on the front two wheels).  This is the reason for requesting a refund on the original work plus compensation for the additional work which was need to make the vehicle safe for driving.  I will deem this complaint resolved if a refund of original payment plus the cost of additional work is paid.
