Ken had my car almost 2 yrs been constantly delaying the time he say he's going to bring my car every week never shows up. I have paid him $4,300He was suppose to built me a brand new motor[redacted] and a brand new 350 turbo also with paint and clear coat it took him 8 months to bring my car back the first time when I got my car the transmission was slipping very bad meaning it was gone go out. I reached out to him and he came 2 months later to pick my car up now I am calling him more then 15 times a day getting no responses I am really concerned about my car.Desired SettlementI would like to get $4,500 and my car back I really think I deserve it Business Response yes I had this car for two years n I had been waiting on this consumer to pay me for the first work I performed of repairs of 650.00 in the first month of repairs then consumer informs me he is gonna be awhile in getting his so called moneys right n he waits 6 months then to contact me in this time my shop had burned down n he informed me he understood n told me to not concern about that car no more fix my shop n then we could do it n he wanted to make some changes to his car different so a yr n half later he finally contacts me n I asked him what changes n I informed him of my shop getting rebuilt n it would take awhile n he agreed I told him december 11 he agreed now this now I would like to no whats wrong with our agreement n the problem now

I paid him to rebuild my transmission gave me a full warranty but its the 4th transmission now and when I took it out myself he is puttin used parts iI have a 2000 Tahoe 4X4 and I paid him $1000.00 to rebuild my transmission and it went out 4 months later took it to him he rebuilt it didn't last a month took it back he kept it 11/2 months and told me I needed to buy a transfer case that's why it was messing up transmission so I bought that he supposedly redone transmission it lasted three days so I knew something is goin on and I tell him I'll pull it out this time cause he tells me he's real busy and it be a week or so before he can get to it and when I pull it out it has a old torque converter I asked him bout it and he said it came out of his 02 Yukon I asked why he puttin old parts in when I paid him for new he didn't answer so I go lookin at transfer case and I took pics of mine before I bought one from him and it's the same serial number he just painted mine stuck it back in and said there u go.. IDesired SettlementI want my transmission rebuilt with new parts I paid for and a time where I can be there the hole time and observe to make sure he doesn't put old stuff in again and the transfer case he sold me not mine he painted and stuck back in.. I'd rather jus get a refund and go elsewhere but that won't happen soBusiness Response To whom this concerns I was nice of enough because he was a friend to do this job for him half price with the understanding I would pull his out n rebuild it with good parts that I had in stock thats why I told him I could do it for him at such a low cost on the first one I did it worked awwsume for about six months n one night he called me n begged me to come and pull him out one night out of a ditch he had done got stuck in out n a back road drinking n messed up n was mudding in it n was stuck really bad n I told him he had done ran it to hot n was probably done burnt it up because of raw hiding it so much but it lasted two days n it started slipping then n I told him to bring it in n I would refresh it up for him n I did it took 3 days tops n it ran fine again and then about two weeks he came back n said the transfer case was making a noise n I pulled it n fix his n got a broken bolt out of his case n told him I took one I had n his and fixed his n then two days later he blew his engine up locked it up n broke the snot on tourge converter n I agian being fond of him n two kind hearted gave him mine out off my wrecked yukon that was perfect until he broke a rod in his motor so I told him I would check tranny out n I did while he tour it all down on his on n now he wants me to buy him new everything new cause he has been working on this truck on his own I told him his warrenty was just to work not no 2 yrs no more cause he is messing with it two much on his own there is not a shop in TN. that would do what he ask for after he has worked on it himself so much not once but three times he has blew it up so I no friends can only go so far n I have went far far beyond any body would for this boy because we were friends until this mess up but if he wants to pay me the remainder of 1200.00 I will give him an add. 2 yr warrenty other wise I wipe my hands clean of this tahoe another reason he has put to many aftermarket HIGH PERFORMANCE RACING PARTS it like body lifts n bigger tires than stock size so no shop would give him the time of day he is wanting me to pay for his mistakes putting all of these HP parts on a stock truck no warrenty or money back because he has messed a good tahoe up..THANKS N GOD BLESS SENCERILY KEN Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)No I do not.. He knows and I know no one in there right mind would give him 1200.00 for used parts to go back in a transmission.. I've already responded to him and he and I both know what the truth is.. He has done this to people as long as I've known him but never thought he'd try this with someone he calls a friend.. If I'd like to see what I could have paid for used anything it wasn't even 200.00 at pull a part in Denmark for a transmission ,torque converter , and transfer case. Now why would I give him 1200.00 when I could have got what I needed if I was paying for "Good Used Parts". That doesn't make any sense.. And I tried to do the right thing by contacting u guys instead of handling it the wrong way because I'm not a mean person but u jus don't take 1200 from some one and when u get caught lying and putting old parts in lie to the government.. If tall are unwilling to do anything about it I will go to the public on him on social media that's the only thing I know to do that may get anything done.. I can provide pictures and any witnesses that was with me at the time I ever went to his shop.. Jus let me know what I need to get to u to prove that he is lying to talk that way something will be done that he may not do this to the next person.

We Have A Contract Saying An Engine Swap Would Be Completed And The Vehicle Would Be Running Within A 3 Week period. 5 months later my engine has been pulled and my Truck is just sitting as a scrap car.Desired SettlementThis is the worse company to do business with. They have a million excuses and tell you they have done something and it will be completed within a week and then refuses to answer the phone!

My name is [redacted] I live in [redacted] Ms. My complaint is on the business titled "kens speed shop" in hwy [redacted] Tn,XXXXX (XXX) XXX XXXX. The problem I have with this business is that I took my vehicle ta 1992 [redacted] there for a transmission rebuild which me and him agreed to price the repair at 1,250 dollars, I was to give him half of the amount when I dropped the vehicle ogff and the other half when I was to go puck it up after repair.well I gave him 800 $ dollars when I dropped it off, and the owner said that it would take him a week to repair my vehicle. I called him once a week had passed and he responded that my vehicle wasn't ready yet that he had been busy and had other things going on at that time, I understood, told him it was fine . Later about a week after that I give him a call and he told me that my vehicle did NOT have the proper or original transmission for that type of vehicles, he recommended he should rebuild one that was the right one for it, that he could do that at the same price that we agreed, that all he needed from me was a drives shaft for that vehicle so I took care of that had a cousin go to a junkyard and pull one out for which I gave him 100$ for the part and 40 for him. Well I took it to him and he said that it wouldn't work. That he had to get it modified for it to fit .he promised that he would have my vehicle ready in a week . It's been about two months and I'm aggravated I want the total amount of money that I gave him and I think I deserve more and I want my vehicle back the way I took it to him I will have it repaired elsewhere so I think I deserve the total amount of 1000 dollars that I've spent on trying to get my vehicle repaired at his business. Paid $480 down on transmission rebuild shop burned down didn't have insurance on vehicle and shop owner had none aswell won't even refund money down!Kens speed shop burned down with my vehicle inside I had paid ken $480 down on the rebuild he wouldn't refund my money I had no insurance and he didn't either claims no responsibility on my loss said I should've had insurance !
