Re: ID # [redacted] -- A New Millennium When we contracted with New Millennium to do our roof, he gave us a price and we paid a deposit of $500. The work started with two workers. We treated them with respect by giving them access to our restroom because they spent time looking for a bathroom in the neighborhood. We gave them cold-bottled water three times a day and ice for their thermos. I got after New Millennium because rain was in the horizon and I felt he was dragging his feet. The men had to work in the rain one or two days. I had to clean all the debris and dust blown off the roof because we wanted the work to go fast. The workers brought in one of the skylights that needed replacing. They brought in an oversize one and said I could accept this one or wait two weeks for a custom one. I accepted the oversize because he didn't order one when he accepted our $500 deposit. When the work was completed, we paid the balance in a check that he refused and asked for cash. We realize that we cannot prove he cracked our driveway but he cannot say he didn't. We are seniors in our late seventies and will probably be here only another five years. We have a ten year warranty on the roof. For good customer relations, we would accept the next 10 years warranty at no charge to us and in writing. The cost is $150.00 per yr.

We will provide a 10 year FULL SYSTEM warranty to customer at no charge to customer.

Re- #[redacted] - A New Millennium Oct 1-16We feel new Millennium is being silly .The first ten years came with the purchase of roof. So if they refuse the second ten years, which would benefit them with the new owners.Thats crazy-So we refuse to let them off the hook. Leave the claim unsettled.

Verbal Response:When they complained we attempted to fix the roof 2-3 times after the third time we tore off the roof completely and replaced the roof at no cost to them. Then we never heard back from them by writing, which is required by warranty and we did not hear back from a phone call either....

Next thing we are receiving a bill that they paid another roofing company to repair the roof and they expect us to pay for it without contact to us that they were having a problem. I would like to point out that they have several phone numbers to contact us, they have my personal cell phone, the installers personal cell phone and our office number. They have many ways to contact us and at no point were we contacted. And in one final comment, the terms of the contract are the void if they have unauthorized repairs. The first time we were willing to replace the roof completely, what makes them thing that we wouldn't service it, when we took care of it on our dime.

The twenty year no leak warranty at no cost to customer is rejected.    We have already been more than fair is discounting our roof dramatically to accomodate this customer.    We were not responsible for breaking the concrete at this residence.    We will not offer freebies for something we did not do. Sincerely, Rodney R[redacted], President

We have been more than fair to this customer.     His roof was originally quoted at over $14,000.00    We later negotiated his roof down to less than $10,000.00.    This customer has always been complaining (throughout the process of the...

installation, complaining about equipment being there too long, guys leaving too early (even though they start very early, he was not happy that I wasn't willing to pay my guys overtime so that the job would finish faster.   He was not happy that their was only two guys on the crew, and that cleanup was not done properly everyday..... etc etc.     I was hearing from this guy all the time.     As far as the driveway cracks, these cracks are hairline cracks caused by new concrete pour and are very common.    My equipment when it gets set up has outriggers.    These outriggers were nowhere in the area of these cracks.     My outriggers were much further forward toward the street and rear outriggers of my crane were next to his garage (there are no cracks in these areas) It is very common for concrete to have hairline cracks as it is setting up..    this is well known in the industry,    Concrete and stucco people will encourage the customer to wet the concrete slab as it is drying so that it dries slower to prevent this sort of thing from happening.     (this especially happens if the concrete is done in very hot weather like his was done)

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The statement is false our attorney tried to contact them, my husband tried several time with no response. We had no choice but to get the roof fixed as it is leaking causing more damage.
