Thank you for taking the time to review this responseWe are the contractor for American Water CompanyWe are contracted to replace water meters in various states as well as in our local Wilkes-Barre Scranton AreaKentrel has been in business for approximately years For the past years we have always taken great pride in our workmanship, as well as our customer serviceBecause of the nature of our business, from time to time, we are confronted with what we refer to as "bogus "or "unsubstantiated "claimsIn our line of business there are times when legitimate claims may arise In the event of a legitimate claim we insure that the customer is made whole and completely satisfied with the outcome.In the matter of Mr***, this was an occurrence of a curb cap (this is usually the little blue metal cap in your lawn or front yard that covers the water line access for turn on/turn off purposes-approximately 2-3" in diameter) simply breakingThis is quite common in the industryThese curb stop covers are items that must be replaced by AmwaterKentrel does not have the authority to replace these metal capsIf such an occurrence takes place, Kentrel reports this to the water company and advises that a new cover is neededThis is by no means considered an emergency situation.Unfortunately Mr [redacted] was not cooperative and became hostile with our technician At one point Mr [redacted] even offered our technician cash to fix another unrelated plumbing issue was havingThis plumbing issue was an old or faulty valveOur technician, Jorge, refusedThis seemed to anger Mr [redacted] furtherSubsequently Mr [redacted] began calling the Kentrel officeMr [redacted] was informed that protocol was followed and Kentrel reported to the water company that a new cap was needed at this addressMr [redacted] became very verbally abusive and the Kentrel CSR was forced to terminate the callMr [redacted] still continued to call the Kentrel office -each time exhibiting irate and irrational behaviorDuring one such call Mr [redacted] stated his brother was an attorney and inferred a lawsuitOn another call Mr [redacted] identified himself as a police officerOn yet another he identified himself as a plumberAlso, if indeed Mr [redacted] is a police officer that should not have any bearing on the situation other than Mr [redacted] attempting to misuse his powers as a police officer Kentrel is considering validating this statement and perhaps reporting this misuse of Power in his attempts to intimidateWe have reviewed all of the technician's notes from his visit to [redacted] ***, New Jersey Our technicians are required to note any/ all issues that arise during an installationThere was no water issue whatsoever upon the completion of this service other than the broken curb capThere was no damage to this property and no valve damageOther than a common curb cap this was a routine installationKentrel's office had stopped returning Mr***'s calls because he was verbally abusive and spoke to our staff in a threatening mannerIn fact, we have denoted this account to show that under no circumstances are any technicians to return to this address due to the possibility of bodily harmMr [redacted] did have an old valve that needed repair, Kentrel does not repair or replace bad plumbing that is the responsibility of the customerApparently Mr [redacted] attempted to replace or repair this valve himselfIn closing, we would like to reiterate that Kentrel has caused no damage to Mr***'s propertyThe cap for the curb stop is the property of the water company and they will replace this cap if they have not already done so Thank you for taking the time to read our replySincerely, Marietta P [redacted]

For the past 33 years we have always taken great pride in our workmanship, as well as our customer service. Because of the nature of our business, from time to time, we are confronted with what we refer to as "bogus "or "unsubstantiated "claims. There was no water issue whatsoever upon the completion of this service other than the broken curb cap. There was no damage to this property and no valve damage.
