In the summer 2012, Mr. K.... installed *** siding in my house. I requested a written warranty; since it was included in his STANDARD CONTRACT. Mr. K...assured me he would get it from ***. He never gave me one. He misled me
3-4 years after the siding was installed, some panels began discolorating and the caulk cracking. I brought these issues up to his Mr. K....since the spring 2016. He assured me he would take care of it, which he never did it And the discoloration and cracking caulking continued extending and getting progressively worse. At least, one panel is cracked.
2 years ago, I contacted directly the claims department at ***. They called to inform me that someone would follow up. nobody did it.
*** state that this problem was caused by the use of cheap, inappropriate caulking by Kepo. Not the one that is clearly recommended for the siding installation
As the owner of Kepo Siding & Windows I make a commitment to all of my customers to help resolve any issues that might arise during or after work done by Kepo. Consistent with this policy, I and my staff have been working closely with Mr. for some time to find a solution to the discoloration of his *** siding. At no point have I or my staff misled Mr. regarding past work performed by Kepo, any remedy we have discussed, or any other matter. Mr. is our customer and our goal is to find the best possible outcome for him and his home.
My company has made several visits to Mr.' house, taken many pictures of the discoloration of his siding, and submitted these pictures to *** Siding on Mr.' behalf. My staff prepared and submitted a warranty claim to *** on Mr.' behalf. My staff has been corresponding with Mr. and *** representatives for some time. As a result of my staff's negotiations and discussions with ***, *** offered to compensate Mr. $8,000.00 to settle the claim that we submitted.
In his complaint, Mr. mentioned his dealings directly with ***, that he attempted to contact them and did not receive a response. Please understand that my business, Kepo Siding & Windows, has no control whatsoever over what *** or its employees do or do not do. I would ask that Revdex.com take this into consideration when evaluating Mr.' complaint.
If necessary, I am prepared to provide extensive documentation supporting what I have stated in this response.
