KerB movers Reviews (%countItem)

Please read the following for a detailed explanation of the horrific experience that my husband and I had with Kerb Pittsburgh. These movers made a 75 foot scrape in the precious wood floor of our million dollar condo. Initially, the movers apologized and promised to have it managed by the insurance company. We later learned, after Kerb provided us with an insurance certificate that “they do not have insurance”!!! Clearly this is very problematic as we never would have hired a company if they had been honest, instead they provided us with a false certificate of insurance.

In terms of the damages, we were told by the movers and later the company that they would repair the damages that they caused to our $ 850,000 condo, unfortunately, after learning the cost of the damages, they have ceased to communicate and we are currently entering a legal dispute to resurrect the cost of the damages. Additionally and beyond the damage, they are also going back on their promise and apology to refund us for the overages that we incurred for their inadequate moving service. Now, they are not providing any level of care for the multiple items they broke or destroyed.

To clarify, ours was billed as a 17 hour move. We paid for 3 movers but 6 movers we dispatched in to accompany us. Even with all of the laborers, my husband and I still were forced to pack our bedroom, our guest bedroom, and most of our kitchen, while many of the movers stood around talking and would disappear for hours while we were toiled. The movers did not come prepared with boxes or tape, we had to leave several times to go to uhaul to purchase boxes while the movers stood around listening to music. One mover spend 4 or more hours to pack a cabinet of glasses each glass taped in shrink wrap taking even more time as they did not have any standard bubble tape. The horror continues, in transporting several of our items were broken from boxes of alcohol, chairs, many glasses, irreplaceable china from world travels, but sadly, none of it compares to the irreparable damage to our home. The damage that they are claiming I did because I helped one of the struggling “professional” movers lift a chair through my door way.

It is not shocking that the movers were unable to perform the job, the drivers reeked of alcohol, they argued and belittled each other through the horrible day, they continually told us how terrible Kerb is as a company, that they often send them on jobs without telling them what the job is or how to prepare for it. Clearly the workers are unhappy with the corporation and it’s management and at this point I can see why. Kerb hires laborers and does not train them, resulting in lost time in your move and damage to customers property. It was by far the worst moving experience I could imagine. Please do yourself a favor and go with Three Guys and a truck.
