kerb Bay Area Box Express (associated with this company, kerb) is a scam. I have reported the scam to the Revdex.com using the Scam Tracker.

They charged us for purchasing online moving supplies. The supplies never showed up, and any time we try to get in touch with customer service, we are volleyed between many different phone numbers. Some folks who answer the phone don't know what we're talking about or say "we don't sell boxes" while others would refuse to speak with us and say "we are dispatch" and then send us to a voicemail box where we were unable to leave a voicemail. Email has been unsuccessful as well.

We emailed consumer on 5/19/2020 because we could not locate any order under consumer's name. She emailed us the receipt for the order and order was placed under a different name. Consumer was under the impression that the order was to be delivered that same day. On our website clearly states when placing an order the following notice, "Please note: We ask that you allow 24 - 48 hour notice to fulfill your order", but the consumer did not see pay attention to notice. We advised her that the order was scheduled to be delivered the following day on 5/20/20 from 1pm - 3pm. However, consumer asked us to cancel the order and refund the order amount. As per her request we cancelled the order right away and refund was issued on 5/20/2020. The consumer confirmed that refund was received by cardholder on 5/20/2020. We promptly resolved consumer's request regarding the box order.

7 hours late to the job
*didn't complete the job (left large articles, not movable by an SUV behind)
*overcharged 10x for the job

Failed to show at the scheduled time, showed 7 hours late. All attempts to communicate with mgmt were ignored, calls not returned.
Upon completion of job, it was discovered that a queen size memory foam mattress never made it on the truck, as was the headboard.
When an attempt to do good business was made, by saying you'll get paid when the job is done, we were told (at nearly midnight), that management doesn't allow them to leave someone's home until all the money is paid in full. When asked to speak with management, we were refused. After an amateur display of being on hold to complete CC transaction, first attempt failed, and required a callback, upon which they said taht our card is being declined, and could we please give them another one. Why? They charge *** on it, maxing it out! ON;y when we had to use louder voices and stronger language, did they finally refund the erroneous 10x the charge. Promise was made to fetch our bed first thing the following morning in order to :make things right" was an empty one, as no communication from the company has occurred in the last 24 hours informing us of either acknowledgement of their mistakes. They took the money and were part of the problem, not solution. We are provided with no means of reaching leadership of this company to rectify this or make them aware of the practices of their middle management. There's no linked in profiles, no twitter handle / account, and no contact numbers or email save for the central dispatch that keeps ignoring our requests for supervisor contact info.

Desired Outcome

We would like to simply talk to someone in leadership of this business to describe our experience. We both work in hospitality and would NEVER treat anyone who chooses to give us the business with even a fraction of this aloofness and carelessness. They need to finish the job so We can sleep in our bed, and it would be nice if they apologised to our wallet, since they threw our moving weekend (on of the most stressful events one can undertake, period) completely off the rails and are no giving a *** about pooping the bed.

The business did finish the job, and offered us a partial refund as stated above. This is resolved in a satisfactory matter. We do wish this would have been avoided and that they would be more responsive initially without having to resort to filing complaints to get them to acknowledge our anguish as a result of their actions.

Consider this matter closed once we receive the refund check.

Last month we used Kerb to get furniture, cabinets and rugs to our new place. We moved a few boxes ourselves to cut down on the load time and speed up the process. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. We've used a handful of other moving companies in the San Fernando but until now haven't found movers that we really liked. Throughout each move in the past there has always been one or two hiccups or someone with an attitude. With Kerb it was different. I got along with everyone I crossed paths with making the entire move smooth sailing.

By far the most reliable moving company I've used for getting my stuff from one state to another safely. The Kerb team planned the whole move out very well with no complications ever occurring. Both the movers and customer service gave me VIP treatment for my out of state move. When you're spending over a grand for a move you expect some extra sort of treatment. They exceeded my expectations and really proved their worth. It felt great to get this move done right. Very fast service.

Our move to Anaheim using Kerb was great. Crew showed up ahead of time with clean a truck. When they opened the back of the Truck up I noticed a camera on the inside. This company really covers all the bases with quality in their work. We left at the same time but they beat us to our new place. No damages. Movers were very upbeat and energetic. We needed 2 bed frames put back together that we took apart and movers took care of both of them quickly. They had a full set of tools and extra boxes. Rates were competitive, easy to understand with no additional hidden fees.

This is one place that really knows how to take care of it's customers. I'm very big on customer service since I use to be in the industry. Kerb definitely understands the stress moving puts on you and works hard to remove as much of it as they can. Prices were affordable, movers were fast and they work with you on pricing not against you like other movers trying to gouge your pockets. A friend of mine used them for an out of state move so I knew that they could handle my move to San Fran without a problem. Great experience. I would use them again for sure.

There is no shortage of moving companies out there that promise you great things but there is a big shortage of reliable ones. Kerb made it possible for this move to happen with the budget I had. In short they simplified absolutely every part of this move. The movers never slowed down and chose not to take a break even when I asked them to because they were sweating. Such a nice team. It really makes everything easier when you deal with people who are patience and know how to communicate. Service was completely door to door.

Best out of state moving experience I've had to date.

Didn't know much about them at all until I found them online and called them up. Very happy with how my move turned out. Great door to door service, with packing and UNPACKING! I've used "full service" movers before but they never helped me unpack, organize and dispose of boxes like these guys did. Obviously it was an extra fee but it was so nice to start work the next day and not have to navigate around boxes. I was all moved in and everything was put away. No damages and no flip flop rates. Best moving company I've dealt with in LA. They so many moving scammers out there. Glad I finnnaaalllly found a great company!!

One word - Seamless! Moving crew was well trained, good manners, careful with fragile's and didn't track any dirt on the carpet of our new place. Cleaner than your average moving guys. Rates were more than reasonable to get to San Fran from LA and they even were willing to match pricing against a competitor after we shared an email of a quote we got. An itemized list was created from the start and then checked off when we moved in. This moving style left me feeling very comfortable and ease. Hats off to this business. Moving is stressful and they got it down to a science, from how they deal with people, to how they explain the process and rates. I've always hated moving but this wasn't too bad. Great job guys. Kudos!

Pricing was honest and upfront. They did wonderful job packing things for us. Our busy schedules just left us with so little time. Customer service was some of the best I've dealt with for a moving company. They really made us feel like they cared about everything going down smoothly. All initial questions were answered over the phone and follow up questions were answered via email. Overall Kerb was worth the money we spent to get moved.

Excellent experience with these guys. They worked at a good pace, but not so fast as to damage items. Really appreciate how they reassembled the bed. Will not hesitate to use them for our next move.

Fast movers.. on time. Professionals..... very nice price...

I was recommended by my friend they used their service before and they spoke highly of them so I decided to use them to move my office. Booked their service and no need to say they did a excellent job and finished at a timely manner that they estimated time they gave to get them done. But the best part is they provided packaging supplies. They have FREE boxes which save me time and money to get them. Overall I highly recommend them to do any moving jobs and will definitely talk to my friends about them.

I used Kerb to move our offices in woodland hills. They did an excelent job. Not a single scratch.
The movers were sll professional and well dressed.
Im not planning to move anywhere soon but when I will have to, I will definitely call them. No doubt!

The company presented us with a certificate of insurance which they are now saying is not valid and that they don't have insurance we incurred damages
This is the first of the series for my web campaign to spread the word about the horrific experience that my husband and I had with Kerb Pittsburgh. These movers made a 75 foot scrape in the precious wood floor of our million dollar condo. Initially, the movers apologized and promised to have it managed by the insurance company. We later learned, after Kerb provided us with an insurance certificate that they do not have insurance!!! They will not repair damaged property and they do not provide any level of care for the multiple items they broke or destroyed.

In addition to the items broken, It was a 17 hour move, while 6 movers accompanied us, my husband and I still were forced to pack our bedroom, our guest bedroom, and our kitchen, while many of the movers stood around talking and would disappear for hours while we were laboring. The horror continues in transporting several of our items were broken from boxes of alcohol, chairs, but none of it compares to the irreparable damage to our home. The damage that they are claiming I did because I helped one of the movers lift a chair through my door way.

The drivers reeked of alcohol and argued and belittled each other and the company during the whole trip. Clearly they are unhappy with the corporation and it's management and at this point I can see why. Kerb hires laborers and does not train them resulting in lost time in your move and damage to customers property. It was by far the worst moving experience I could imagine. Please do yourself a favor and go with Three Guys and a truck.

Hi Revdex.com unfortunately the company had agreed to resolve the matter and now they are not taking any measures to resolve things so I believe I'd like to move forward with the complaint.

I hired this moving company because they had food stars on yelp. Little did I know I would end up regretting not using a different company. I trusted them with my belongings that were pretty much brand new. During the move they damaged my brand new bed, drilled screws through top of my 1 year old 900$ vanity and stepped on and cracked my daughters screen to her less than a month old iPad. They showed me the damages prior to leaving so contacted the company who gave me the run around and excuses. Finally I got c call that someone would come out to assess the damages after asking me to send them in a quote(no that's their job to contact someone) he came out said the damages couldn't be repaired. Finally got another call a week later after I had to follow up to see what the next step was. They then came back and said 200$ was the amount they would send me a settlement. That was the most they would send which will not cover ANY of my items to be fixed so I'm going to bae to buy new bed, vanity, and iPad screen fixed. Extremely disappointed would be an understatement as I thought they were better insured and and have employees that were background checked and thourough random drug screening... the guy was really really nice but I can promise you what they are advertising is not the truth because the guy said somethings to prove they don't. They should have replaced my items since I trusted them to move my stuff and that much for damages ð??¢
