Review: I dropped my van off at Kern's Complete Car Care 6153 N. Teutonia ###-###-#### on 2/9/2015 I had it towed there. I dropped it off Monday morning around 11 am. Wednesday which was dated 2/11/2015 I was tolded by the manger Jason H that it needed a ignition control module. So the part was ordered and installed. Once that work was done it still wasn't fixed. Then he jumped from there to a New PCM. If that was the issue I agreed to fixing it. The part was suppost to be in 2/13/2015 the part didn't come in till Monday the 16th so I went and waited for them to be done with the install of the PCM. I waited there for 3 and a half hours for it to be done but still no van. On the 17th I was called to come pick up the van I was able to drive it for three hours then it shut down on my way home with my kids in the van. They towed it back to the shop. I was told it had a gas leak. I checked it out. Fuel filter a line jumped off so I put it back on my self. waiting on them it would take for ever to get done. They charged up the battery and it was good. Which was the 18th So from then up until the 21th I was able to drive it three days. Then I had it towed back up there to the shop on the 22th. It sat in their parking lot from monday till the 25th the owner Ben told me it was the fuel pump. I ask him how is that if the fuel pump was new and if that was the issue from the beginning why did I pay for all those other parts. He told me if I buy a new pump he would put it in for free. So on the 25th which is the day we came to this agreement it was suppose to be fixed that same day. Didn't happen the next morning I got a call saying it wasn't going to be fixed that Thursday neither. Friday around 10 am it was still in the lot with out being touched. So I sat in the waiting room till they were trying to fix it. helped them push it inside the shop from 10 till 8pm the van was drove out. I also purched a fuel pump relay. So I was telling them I would check that before they do a big job of dropping the tank . it would be eaiser and take less time. They did something with some kinda wire got it running. Showed me a break line that was leaking. So I agreed on fixing it long as it was running. After these repairs was done. The van was pulled out. then they wanted $225 I am wondering how we come from free pump installed to me paying for the breaks and wiring . When he Ben offered to put a fuel pump in for free since I already spent money that didn't fix the issue the last time. So I tryed to pay for the break line which was $150 but they wanted $225. So I end up giving them $225 to go out side to my van not starting. Now they gave me which is the 27th $175 back out of the $225. Saying they will have it towed to what ever shop I wanna take it to. I paid them to fix my van and only charge me for what would fix it. Nothing they did fixed it. My van still got the same issue now that it had @ first. But now the fuel pump ain't even coming on. It was coming on when they got it.So now my issue really is worst. "Then he tell me to take it to the dealer." Don't nobody wanna go after them to fix it cause they don't know what wire was messed with.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for all my funds wasted on repairs that didn't fix my current car issue.

I had to get rides, lost my part time job due to not having no car.

Go threw so many hassles and this place is suppose to be a shop.

After dropping my vehicle off to have a part replaced that had been under warranty for less than 2 yrs., the shop workers damaged the body of my vehicle. The shop owner did not provide me with his insurance information to file a claim, neither did he offer to have my vehicle repaired at an actual body shop. I seeking other recourse for this damage.

Kern's at 70th and Fondulac Ave replaced my muffler on my car at a reasonable price without replacing the pipes that were in good shape yet with a lifetime warranty as long as I own the vehicle. The replacement was done quickly.I would recommend this business for exhaust work.

This palce was terrible from start to finish!
I went to have my two mufflers replaced under warranty on my classic car that had an entirely new exhaust system installed by Russ Sacks Classic muffler which was taken over by Kerns. The shop was disorganized, the tech was rude, and the work was horrendous:
What would have been a simple replacement of two mufflers on a 1 year old exhaust system (classic car not driven in winter) became a nightmare!
The Tech (Art) took a torch to the down pipes and factory exhaust hangers out of pure laziness, cut 6 inches out of one side of the system and directed one of the pipes into the rear bumper of the car all out of pure laziness or ignorance, even after being told by the service manager that I wished for the car to remain factory simple and simply replace the mufflers leaving everything else as it was, he disregarded everything, stopped halfway through the job and drove away for a half hour unexplained while I waited for my original factory exhaust system to be further butchered unapologetically! I called the shop 5-10 times to resolve the problems they created to no avail and they never returned any messages I left. Going here was a huge mistake and they have no skills, ability or accountability near the level of Russ Sacks Classic Muffler: never again!

Review: I took my car to Kern's to receive repair/replacement on my car's power steering hose. I was advised that it would be best to receive a tune up and so I authorized that additional repair and also a repair to my oxygen sensor. These repairs took place in the month of October of 2012. A week after the supposed repair my check engine light appeared again. I went back to Kern's and inquired whythe check engine light appeared again? I was told that I had a bad catalytic converter, which talking to several other repair shops and getting diagnostic checks. I was told that tthere's no evidence of receiving tune up or a new oxygen sensor because its not a catalytic converter its an oxygen sensor. This is the same oxygen sensor that was supposed to be replaced. Also I was told by the other repair shops if I had received a tune up I wouldn't have these current problems. So it has come to the realization that the only thing that was fixed was the power steering hose. If there was going to be no work done then why recommend the work?Desired Settlement: I would just like a refund of the tune up and the oxygen sensor that way I can I pay someone who will actually fix it
