I as the business owner and hairdresser am responding to this complaint I met complainant on a friday night at pm and was told her hair was mostly virgin with a few high lights on the ends so at time of appointment spoke with her and she wanted blonde highlights then to learn after working on her
highlights she had alot of color including purple and highlights and dyeI told her clearly that u would try to get her closest to color desired but I cant promise it will happen in one visitShe agreed!!! I worked on her for a total of six hours which first I used rusk color remover after which I then foiled her hair back to back highlights with olaplex which helps keep the structure of the hair and colored her hair in between highlights with an ash color as to which I explained the process to the cluent after waiting some time her hair lifted on the roots which was virgin hair and on the ends which from doing the color remover was lighter the middle was darker due to color over color I explained before yhe process and during she might not lift as light as desired and after highlighting I saw the color over color wasnt lifting so I toned the color to be as even as I could with keeping the hair still in a healty stateShe left with a blow dry needing a haircut on her ends which she refused to cut saying she loved the color and thanked me she paid and tipped me and left happy however The next day I recieved a complaint not from her but her friend whom teferred her to me I explained all the work and products used and time I put in then she texted me saying I was worth $not $i stated the price list all the work done products used and she instead of expressing she wasnt happy said she couldnt afford my prices she was used to going to her friend who works at home for extra money so therefore was appauled at my salon pricesI told her thats the going salon rates and I have a price list posted where she sat for the six houts that I stayed four hours overtime doing her hairShe then went in *** bashing me along with my businessNever once did she ever ask for me to make it lighter or a refund and I explained in the beginning of visit it might take more than one visit and she was ok with thatnow all of a sudden she said her hair is burntI have before and after pics I worked long and hard and kept the hair in a healthy state she is just looking for something for free and its nit fair to memor my businessI worked long and hard staying until 11:pm on a friday night when I normally close at 'trying to make her happy which she obviously wouldnt be because price was the issue from the startAs a business owner I have all the texts and puctures to back up my claim if neededI told her this isnt lets make a deal its my profession this is so not fair to me as a business owner because she wants something for free!!! Heres her last text to me....Hey Theresa I feel like this whole thing went south I went to holly after my appt as a friend I wasn't trying to bad mouth you in anyways I know you worked hard on my hair and did a lot of work on it even if it wasn't what I wanted I still feel like I should pay you something but almost for something that wasn't what I wanted is a bit much I think would have been a reasonable price for what you did to my hair I'm not trying to play let's make a deal but I was not satisfied and think something should be worked outWe both were upset about the situation and how you responded to me was not okay I felt like you didn't care that was not satisfied and went to *** because you didn't want to handle the situationI'm not a person who looks for problems or cause any problems but your response to me wasn't okayI am not trying to make enemies I think there was a miss communication threw our text messages and things got unnecessary over heatedI would like to resolve the issue let me know.I responded if you would have ever told ne there was an issue wh could have talked you went to the Revdex.com and *** so the only problem is yoursI am not a little kid and I wouldnt go back and forth you bashed me on *** expecting me not to respond which you are still going on and on on thereNoone dismissed you I explained it to you I made it an even color the under colors werent lifting I wasnt going to make you leave with all different colors so I toned you a little darker than we planned so it would look nice not because I just felt like it! I explained all that I was doing while I was doing it and as a professional I am telling you the more color underneath the harder to liftYou chose to go to *** and abuse my kindness for weAkness after staying late and really trying to make you get the color you wanted to achieveI have pleanty of great reviews from realistic customers that understand it takes time and in some cases money to get what they want you obviously arent one of those people and you do what makes you happy the damage is done I really feel I worked hard and you totally dismissed that for that im upsetI take pride in what I do and love what I do until you decided to abuse me for it!!! Im done with this conversation and you now im dismissing u!!! She has Bashed me on *** three messages later and im done its all about the miney $id ok but the $isnt I told her I dont run a flea marketIf you read my reviews on *** I take education seriously and this is niot fair because she wants to be cheap

The before and after pictures are not true to this statementThis girl is posting pictures to make the hair not look like she asked and I explained to her throughout her entire time at the salon due to previous colors it wouldnt come as light as she wished

In Theresa’s response to my claim, she quoted one text message that I sent her and one text message that she sent to me in responseHowever, Theresa purposefully omits the rest of the conversation that we had regarding the botched hairstylePrior to the text messages that she quoted in her response, I sent her a message explaining that I was dissatisfied with the color of my hair, but did not mention my dissatisfaction at the time because I wanted to give the hair an opportunity to settleAfter allowing it to settle, the color was not close to what I requested and $was excessive for the resultTheresa responded by claiming to have texted “Holly” (the person that referred me to Theresa) the pricesTheresa went on to say that she could not anticipate the different colors that would result due to previous hair dyeShe then states that her salon prices are justified because she does not do this as a side job in her kitchen.I further explained to Theresa that I understand that she is running a business, and that I was shocked with all of the problems she was having coloring my hair, because I have had my hair colored blonde previously, and there was no problem with any hair dye that was in my hair beforeI went on to state that I was not attempting to discredit her work, but I was left speechless after finding out that it costs $I explained that due to the dissatisfactory result $seems like a reasonable price, considering that my hair was colored a different shade of brown instead of blonde, as I requestedIn no way was a seeking “something for free” but believe that I was charged way too much for Theresa’s complete and utter failure to provide me with the hair style that I paid forMy suggestion of $was just an attempt to reason with her, and to resolve this issue.Theresa responded to my message stating that she is sorry that I feel the way that I do, the price listed for a foil alone is $220, that she worked long and hard on my hair, and that it is neither of our faults that the hair did not “lift” the way that I wanted it to.Lifting the hair is the process of bleaching it to remove the existing colorThe chemicals used in the lifting process have been known to burn hair and dry it outI cannot understand how Theresa can refuse to accept any responsibility for not only failing to turn my hair blonde, but to also severely burn my hair by repeating the lifting process over and over againAs a cosmetologist, Theresa should have been aware of the dangers of repeatedly bleaching my hair.I have all of the text messages saved, and can provide them at your request, along with before/after photos of my hair, and the pictures I showed Theresa depicting the type of hair that I wanted
