Review: I had some issues with this maintenance company that they burned a spot on my lawn with some chemical spill which laid a bare spot in my lawn. I brought it up to a worker on site (who was of hispanic descent but was fluent in English) of this issue of the bald spot in my lawn and he advised he would take care of it. I never saw a result of taking care of that issue. It is still bald after 6 months. [redacted] (he owner) advised that he would take care of the water times on the drips and sprinklers but they were often not appropriately set for the yard. Many times they were overwatering and other times they were under watering. I did a operational test on the valves on the of the sprinklers and two of the valves were leaking badly ..just pouring out of the valves. I called [redacted] but he was not available to talk with but I informed of a few issues and informed him that I was looking for new maintenance because of unresponsiveness on his part on emails and phone calls for some time. He later called back and left voice mail and asked if I would like him to take care of the valves and I called back and yes I would like him to ale care of the valves. I received a letter today on the 17th advising he is terminating his service with me because I didn't fit in his business model. So now I am scrambling to find a new maintenance service with two leaking valves he said he would fix and now he will not. [redacted] required that I give him two week notice before I terminated his service but I guess he doesn't require that of himself.Desired Settlement: I would have like him to repair my lawn and fix the water valves but I will probably have them fixed by someone else before this will be resolved. Or he could give me compensation for not doing what they were contracted for.

Response:

We (Kerslake Landscape) were only providing maintenance services. We were not under contract to fix any irrigation valves or to do anything outside of maintaining the yard (Mow, Edge, Blow, pull weeds). We actually bid the job to maintain lawn and keep weeds out of rock areas were not supposed to be trimming any shrubs. We ended up including the additional work (Trimming Shrubs) for free. Any additional work Mr. [redacted] wanted done, such as new valves & sod patching, we did not feel comfortable performing the work because we were worried we would not get paid for the work. We were owed payment for a month of maintenance that wasn't paid. We had switched our billing from end of the month to middle of the month and from that point on Mr. [redacted] was one payment behind. He disputed the payment, so again being nice I voided the payment owed ($85.00). I did speak with him over the phone and he said he wanted valves repaired and sod patched but was cancelling service for maintenance. I didn't feel the need to give Mr. [redacted] notice of cancellation as he already gave me notice he was cancelling. He in no way asked for time to find another maintenance company. I also did not charge him for the two weeks of maintenance in may ($42.50) which is the month he cancelled services. I will not be giving Mr. [redacted] any compensation as I have already been very generous.

I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] maintenance has a problem responding to issues brought to their company. If they wanted to charge for certain tasks that was negotiable.

[redacted]s accounting is somewhat to be desired. I payed autopay to my account from the beginning so there was no lateness. Mr [redacted] has gotten too big too fast to properly address and service his customers needs and concerns that was why I was looking elsewhere for new service.
