I apologize for the delay in responding to your inquiry with regards to item number [redacted] , for Mr [redacted] I was out of town when it was receivedHe had a complaint with my businessHe hired me to repair the spring in the clasp of his watchThe work involved removing the band from the case and putting the case and movement in my safe while I worked on the bandWhen the watch left here, the band was functioning properly.He complained the movement wasn't workingI am not a watchmaker nor did I open the case or address the movement of the watch in any wayBy Mr [redacted] own admission, the watch had not been service in yearsDespite the fact that I do not believe anything I did while the watch was in my possession caused the problem, in the interest of good customer relations I twice negotiated a reasonable settlement to the matter, involving my paying for the parts in the movement that were broke, but not the service on the watch, as it was long overdue and involved all the labor that would have been required to put the new parts in, as proper servicing requires disassembly and reassembly.I had also agreed to refund the money he paid for the repair.Twice we came to such a resolution only to have him refuse it laterI have withdrawn the offer and do not intend to negotiate this matter further.I have been in the retail business in Richmond area for well over years and this is the first such complaint I have receivedThat record speaks for itselfCharles K [redacted]

I brought my watch to charles kerwath for a minor repair to the braceletIt is an expensive high quality watchWhen I left my watch with kerwath it was working perfectly, the only problem was the bracelet claspNot only did he charge me more than his estimate to fix the clasp, he didn't fix it properly and put the bracelet on backwards as wellThe watch was severely damaged when I picked it up, now requiring a thousand dollar repair from OmegaHe refuses to take responsibility for the damage
