Janine Augustyniak to inquire about a referral for an invention submission corporation and I was referred to Kessler Corporation and was told that they had an A+ rating. I contacted Kessler Corporation President Richard L. Wantz and Vice President Mary Beaver. I informed them that I had not patented my invention and I needed a patent attorney however, I was sent a paqcket stating they would sign the contract after I submitted my invention and return it to me by US mail. I never heard from Kessler again. Each time I contacted them Mary Beaver would yell at me that I had not sent them any money and put a block on their Ohio office phone. When I contacted Richard L. Wantz at their Arizona office, I was told that the only person by the last name of Burgess contained their file was a Marty Burgess and that he too was assigned Kessler file number 5827. I contacted Toyota Motor Corporation in Toyota City, in the
Aichi Prefecture in Japan and addressed my correspondence to Mr. Akio Toyoda, President and Representative Director, who in turn referred me to Mr. Tomohiro Oda of their Intellectual Property Division. I ultimately filed a complaint with the United States District Court in Toledo so that any future filings with any court will be deemed timely filed because prior filings toll the time as long as the proceedings are not dismissed with prejudice. I am currently seeking legal counsel so that I can recover my ninety five percent of the proceeds accrued from the sale or license of my Built In Automobile Child Safety Seat, sold or licensed to Toyota by Kessler, its agents, officers employees, subsidiaries and/or the president and/or vice present.

Kessler corporation is a joke my father has a patent through them now their phone numbers are no longer in service. They have not made any attempts to contact him. This is the lousiest place I have ever seen. There is no longer a website. I will blow up every site I know and turn all info into the RevDex.com. They scammed my father out of thousands of dollars do not trust them

Hi Mr. Kessler and Denise,

I my name is Patricia F. Harvey,
And I have a patent for "The Sand and Water Sleigh". I am really sorry to hear about Mr. Kessler's health issue, hopefully since then he has gotten better. I lost my father last January 2, 2018. Fathers are very special, and I miss mine a lot.

Anyway, Here is the information that I have with me right now at work, and I hope it is enough for you to locate my patent, and let me know what is up with it. I too have been trying to contact someone at the Kessler Corporation by phone/email for the last two years, and I too have become very discouraged. I was so happy to be doing business with the Kessler Corporation, but I am not too sure how I feel about the Corporation now.

Here is my information: US D754, 562 S
Patricia F. Harvey, Norfolk, VA and Larry E. Harvey,
Jr., Norfolk, VA
Filed on March 31, 2014, as Appl. No. 29/486,539.
Term of Patent: 14 years
LOC (10) CI. 12-14
U.S. CI. D12-6

Please let me know something as soon as possible, it has been 4 years since I filed this, and time is being wasted.

Thanks, so much for all your help.

Patricia F. Harvey

My review of Kessler Corporation (Patent help company out of Arizona) Here's my grade D - - - -. I have not received one e-mail, one phone call, one text, one fax or one letter in over 3 and a half years from this rip-off company. I use to call and check very politely, very professionally on if they have found any plastics manufacturing company interested in my easy to make toy/game with full patent. Absolutely nothing. This is what I call a back burner company. They take your substantial up front payment and then put your patent on the back burner and forget about Extreme Caveat Emptor. RGD.

+1

President/Owner of Kessler Sales Corporation (DBA: Kessler Corporation), Richard L. W[redacted] was admitted to hospital on 3/22/16. His return to home and work is still not determined yet, it could still be a couple of weeks yet.
While Richard is out of the office, I (Denise W[redacted]/daughter) fill in for him and am his POA, however, I am not an officer of the company nor am I on the payroll for the company.
Upon review of Richard's company email account on 3/22/16, it was discovered that a complaint was emailed to Richard on 3/11/16. At that time Richard was out sick and taken ill so the email was never addressed by him. I, Denise W[redacted], then called the Revdex.com to discuss the complaint and what I knew. The rep I spoke to at the Revdex.com also informed me that she would un-publish the review he had posted since he had an active complaint with them too. (The review is still posted and caused us a very significant drop in sales since being published.)
Upon initial review of his complaint, I noticed that he is making some VERY SERIOUS accusations and character attack that have nothing to do with the contract he signed with us. He has spent considerable time digging up information on us when he doesn't even have our current information based on the VERY OLD and OUT OF DATE contract he signed with us.
I took the advice of the Revdex.com to reach out to Mr. [redacted] on 3/25/16.
I told him that I would handle his complaint and see that it was resolved. I reminded him that he did approve the Product Description/Release and Folio Cover Sheet and was happy with the outcome. I reminded him that we took photographs of his product free-of-charge (normally $250 per shoot).
REGARDING THE COMPANY NAME/LOCATION
I also was very transparent with him about our business name and address. Kessler Sales Corporation was incorporated in Ohio in 1953/54. For advertising purposes we go by Kessler Corporation since it was confusing our clients "what are you selling". Our office moved twice from its original location on Napoleon St. in Fremont, Ohio to an office on Hayes Avenue and then to an office on State Street.
In 1994/95 the owner of the company, Richard W[redacted], moved to Goodyear, AZ and opened up another office in Litchfield Park, AZ.
In 1997/98 that office was relocated into a large, dedicated office at Richard W[redacted]'s home in Goodyear, AZ. The mailing address remained the same at the P.O. Box 1806 in Litchfield Park, AZ.
After discovering in 2008, a significant embezzlement by the then VP, Karen S[redacted], the company was forced to keep overhead down and company decided to implement and offer the remote-work model to its employee's in the Fremont office location. Upon acceptance in May, 2012 the Fremont, Ohio, State Street office was closed and the employees whom where interested set-up their remote and dedicated offices in their homes.
Mary B[redacted] became the VP in 2009 and coordinated all the remote-work / employees until August 2013 when she then resigned. At that time it was decided to move the entire operation to the Goodyear location while and keeping a few key employees in Ohio remotely along with the company database. Kessler Corporation is still Incorporated as Kessler Sales Corporation. We have W2 employee(s) in Ohio and AZ. We have had the same company EIN number since the company started. We are uncertain why this client of ours is so intent on accusing us of deceit, etc. and what is concerns are about our name and company location; potential clients visit our Goodyear, AZ office often and it has no bearing on wether they do business with us or not. It is a professional office with 6 work stations so we are unsure what his issue is. All his work was completed as agreed to according to the (even outdated) employment agreement he signed.
We are unsure where or how Mr. [redacted] conducts his research but we can assure you that an annual gross of between 2.4 and 5 million dollars annually is a fabrication, it may have been in the past but not so in years and certainly since the embezzlement. Since then the company has taken a massive hit with its last reported yearly income before expenses in the 150,000's! It's amazing we're still here but we have a job to do and have been inventing new procedures to run more efficiently with our small staff. On that note, I, Denise W[redacted], have been stepping in and assisting with the creative aspects of the business and filling in when Richard has fallen ill over the past few years. Like I mentioned earlier, he is in the hospital now and this complaint was only just discovered.
Overall, with regard to [redacted] and my conversation, I told him that we NEVER promised to secure a deal, Richard would never say that, we can never be sure which product a manufacturer will like or not like and why, so that is his word against the company's. We presented 2 lists the client. The first list he didn't like and did not include [redacted]. We presenting a second list with [redacted] on that list and also new manufacturers our research had found. We have always told our clients that we attempt to "cast the widest net possible" when finding a manufacturer for their product. Why go to only 5 or 6 when we can uncover new prospects. We approach manufacturers whom never worked with us before all the time, it's the only way to create new leads for our clients so why wouldn't we give them more than they asked for. Mr. [redacted] perhaps doesn't understand this process, however it was outlined in the letter he received from our editor with his lists. (see submissions letter.jpg and Read Me First.pdf)
This company has been in business for over 62 years and has done all kinds of deals with manufacturers over the years, including toys and games. At times, manufacturers will reply by to one of our clients submissions with a letter to notify us that they no longer accept outside submissions, we don't know when or why until we get that reply, such is the case with [redacted] whom now only accepts submissions via a Toy/Game Broker, basically a middle man who will weed through them for that manufacturer. They notified both Mr. [redacted] and us from their Consumer Services department. We can only assume that they thought the submission was came directly from Mr. [redacted] and not a submission company like ours. Mr. W[redacted] then contacted a few of the brokers who said to go ahead and send it to them but then we received a letter from Mr. [redacted] that he wanted to discontinue services with Kessler Corporation due to the news from [redacted].
Mr. [redacted] will only accept a full refund of $1000.00 and in my opinion was very condescending and never allowed for Mr. W[redacted] to approach the brokers or put further investigation into the toy and game industry. Like I mentioned before, Kessler has been presenting to manufacturers for years and never would have purposefully misinformed or intended to deceive a client – ever! The fact that all the work was created, printed, mailed, researched completed twice, etc. the work, for the most part is done (with the exception of finding out the submission procedure with [redacted] has changed). Mr. [redacted] instantly went on a witch hunt and began slandering our good name making it near impossible to refund him what he was paid, which I will add was at a discounted price from our current price of $1825.00 – that is how considerate Mr. W[redacted] is to our clients that he will allow them the original pricing they received, even if it was years ago (in this case we haven't had the agreement or pricing he received since 2007...he received a $825.00 DISCOUNT for the services.)
At the end of the conversation Mr. [redacted] would not budge or work with us at all and we feel as though we are being strong armed or blackmailed by his damaging review that is still posted and he was almost actually laughing at me. He knew he had me between a rock and a hard place, with my father, Richard in the hospital and me filling in, it's his word against Richards. All I could say is that I would refund him, but having NO AUTHORITY to do so. I also said I would review with Richard, which I did. Richard is still insistent to not allow him a refund. I would like to split the difference and only refund him the cost of the researched list which is $360.00 (see price sheet attached). I think its fair given how much he liked his material and also the fact that we will still refer any manufacturers to him should we hear from them.
Please let me know the next steps to getting this resolved and/or what your view of the complaint is. I intend to fully resolve this.

Review: I spoke to Richard L. W[redacted] by phone and he assured me that Kessler Corporation had a Business Relationship with [redacted] and that his Company would be able to secure a "Licensing " contract for my Invention , that Kessler Corporation would submit my Invention concept to " MANUFACTURERS " within the Toy and Game Industry , However , the initial listing for mailing a Descriptive sheet did NOT have [redacted] or [redacted] and the list had NO TOY and Game Manufacturers , so I contacted Denise W[redacted] , who took approx. 2 -3 weeks to have a new list prepared .

In Oct. 2015 I received letters from BOTH [redacted] and [redacted] { [redacted] is owned by [redacted] } stating that I needed to utilize a Licensing Agent / Broker that is Recognized by the Industry , and they directed me to consult with the Toy and Game Industry website and [redacted] also sent me a listing of " Authorized " Licensing Agents / Brokers affiliated with the Toy Industry Association aka TIA .

I then began an investigation of the other Companies submitted for the mailing by Kessler Corporation and "discovered" after Internet research and speaking to some of the Company owners that some Companies had been out of business over 5 years , that nearly all were 'mom and pop style family owned business , that marketed their OWN product that they developed , that NONE were TOY and GAME Manufacturing Company's , and the owners that I spoke too or that responded to my e-mail inquiries ALL STATED they had NEVER heard of Kessler Corporation nor have they ever done any Business with Kessler Corporation with the exception of one company that stated they had heard of them and they had previously directed Kessler Corporation to CEASE and DESIST from using their Company in future mailings , that they were NOT a Manufacturer and was NOT interested receiving mailings. Kessler Corporation received a Certified Letter dated 14 Jan. 2016 concerning their DECEIT and request for a full REFUND of $1000.00 , but denied the refund .Desired Settlement: That I receive a full Refund of the $1000.00 one thousand dollar payment due to BREACH OF CONTRACT , in that I did NOT receive services contracted for , and further research revealed that NO such Corporate " Identity " as Kessler Corporation ever existed in the State of OHIO nor in ARIZONA , that their is NO issued Business License in Litchfield Park, AZ or Goodyear , AZ for Kessler Corporation although Revdex.com Records reflect they moved from OHIO and began operating in Arizona as early as 1994 and other research revealed an annual Gross of between 2.4 Million dollars and 5 million dollars Annually . Ohio Corporate Records search revealed "entities " known as KESSLER SALES CORPORATION , THE K KESSLER CORPORATION and THE KESSLER SALES CORPORATION , the latter two were dissolved prior to 1991 and ALL the founding Officers for all three were deceased BEFORE , the "altered / created FALSE " Entity" name being used as KESSLER CORPORATION claiming to have been founded in 1954

I have experienced very poor customer service from this company. I cannot in good conscience recommend them to hopeful inventors looking for a marketing company that will help them find a manufacturer for their patented idea.

+2

Wow... That's all I can say. Very pleased with my experience with Kessler Corporation. Friendly, personable and professional...with no hidden cost like some of the other invention promotion companies that approached me. Overall great experience and a big THANK YOU to the staff at Kessler!!!
