Review: Final labor costs and project duration were roughly triple the initial quoted estimate despite only minimal increase in work scope.Failed to live up to arrival commitments consistently showing up late if at all. There were several documented weekdays with no one showing up and no work being completed.Workers often stood idle not having direction needed to continue work because Mr. [redacted] was absent from the job site, and unavailable by phone to provide direction.Failed to complete in scope project details as committed including repair of patio tile his team broke during work, torn barrier cloth repaired with unsightly staples in visible location, final irrigation adjustments not completed resulting in water not reaching all installed plants, and patio fountain not installed, leaving us to hire help to complete the work. Work site not adequately cleaned up.Failed to communicate impact of minor adjustments in project scope resulting in excessive increase in labor cost.$2,500 worth of mature bamboo plants left cut and unplanted with no active irrigation for one week due to poor scheduling. Plants put through excessive stress and resulted in broad scale leaf loss. At least one not likely to survive.Mr. [redacted] was extremely defensive, argumentative, and at times combative when we raised routine questions and concerns about the project.Failed to provide any paperwork including itemized receipts for hard goods and payments, and invoices despite repeated commitments to do so.Exhibited erratic, unstable, and aggressive behavior, showing up at our house at night to do work in the dark, refusing to speak to us, refusing our repeated offers to help with work, and being aggressively confrontational during discussions about project agreements and costs. In one particularly hostile gesture Mr. [redacted] laid out large river rocks in the shape of a 6 foot long crucifix on the carport floor, preventing us from parking one of our vehicles, and leaving us feeling highly threatened and unsafe.Desired Settlement: Due to grossly negligent project management incl. cost estimates, time loss from work, project incompletion despite final payment delivery, and loss of plants purchased, we request a refund of $2500. This represents 1/2 of the labor costs paid beyond initial estimate.We request all detailed paperwork for our project including a breakdown of labor costs, hard costs, and the three invoices with payments processed against them. We need all receipts fully accounting for all paid for hard costs.
