Review: I purchased a new furnace and A/C from Kettle Moraine Heating and A/C in August 2014. As part of the agreement, I was told that the existing whole house humidifier that I currently had on my existing furnace (which operated perfectly before the new installation) would be installed on the new furnace. Given that the temperature at the time was in the 90's, I did not have a need to use the humidifier, but assumed that Kettle Moraine Heating and A/C hooked up the humidifier correctly. Once the weather got cold, I turned on the water to the humidifier and water flowed through the solenoid valve on the humidifier and would not stop running eventhough the humidistat was off. It was obvious that something was wrong with the humidifier so I called Kettle Moraine Heating & A/C to check it out. When I called I mentioned that the reinstallation of the humidifier was done by Kettle Moraine's crew so I wanted them to look it over to find out why it wasn't working. We set up an appointment and a service man came over to look at it. He checked out the system and narrowed down that the humidistat was not working right. He gave me a price to put a new humidistat in ($256) or to install aa new humidifier ($550). Then before leaving, he handed me a bill for $116.67 for looking at the humidifer to determine why it now did not work correctly. I questioned why I was being charged for something that should have been installed correctly and was not given a reasonable answer. When the serviceman looked at the system, he said he could not find the wire that came from the humidistat and we both looked for it, not finding it. After he left, I traced the humidistat wire to the basement by the furnace, where I saw that Kettle Moraine Heating had cut the wire in the basement ceiling during the installation of the new furnace and did not bother wiring the humidistat to the humidifier before leaving, thereby causing the humidifier to not operate correctly. It is now apparent that due to Kettle Moraine's actions that I had to call to have my humidifier checked out and had to pay for something that Kettle Moraine broke.Desired Settlement: I would like Kettle Moraine Heating and A/C to refund my $116.67 and hook up the humidistat that should have been installed correctly by them the first time.

Hello,We contacted Mr. [redacted] yesterday (12/1/2014) and scheduled our return visit for 12/4/2014.We will return on that day to inspect Mr. [redacted]'s concerns and to resolve the situation.I would like to add that when our service man ([redacted]) was out to Mr. [redacted]'s on 11/26/14, [redacted] called in to our office and relayed Mr. [redacted]'s frustrations. The office passed on this information to our Operations Manger's follow up/contact notes to contact Mr. [redacted] on Monday December 1, when our Operations Manager would be returning to the office and have the service ticket in front of him to look over.[redacted] did let Mr. [redacted] know that we would be contacting him but maybe Mr. [redacted] was expecting a call earlier than that.I just wanted to add this because we had planned to contact Mr. [redacted] to address his concerns before he filed a Revdex.com complaint. Maybe, a December 1 contact date was not soon enough for Mr. [redacted] and that is why he filed a Revdex.com complaint, but, I just felt the need to add it could not have been due to our refusal to address his concerns.Thank you and I will follow up with this complaint after our return visit on 12/4.Sincerely,[redacted]Kettle Moraine Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC###-###-####

Kettle Moraine has been very responsive regarding my complaint ID [redacted], and has completely resolved the issue by both returning my check for the initial service call about the humidifier and sending a skilled serviceman to correct the wiring problem at no charge. I was impressed with the professionalism Kettle Moraine exhibited in resolving this issue.I would also like to thank the Revdex.com for its assistance and intervention with this [redacted]er.
