Mr. [redacted] agreed to rebuild the transmission on my 2005 Dodge truck which was towed to his shop Monday night, February 17, 2014. I picked the vehicle up on Friday February 21st after I was told it was ready. I paid [redacted] $1635.00 cash expecting the truck to be repaired. I drove the truck for four days and realized that the transmission was not functioning right. I contacted [redacted] On Monday February 24th, 2014 and informed him of the problem. At his direction, the vehicle was brought back to his shop and left so that he could fix the vehicle. On Friday February 28th, 2014 I contacted [redacted] and inquired about my vehicle. He informed me that the vehicle was almost repaired and that he would need to test drive it but expected it would be ready by 3:00pm. I called [redacted] at 4:50 pm that day to make sure the vehicle was ready and he informed me that he had not test drove the truck yet and that I would have to wait till Monday morning to pick it up.

[redacted] informed me Friday the truck will be test driven and ready by 9:00 am Monday morning. I arrived Monday morning at 9:30 am to find that the truck had not been test driven and that [redacted] was not even at work yet. I waited till he arrived and we test drove the vehicle together. The transmission was still not functioning properly and he told me to go ahead and take the truck and return it in Monday morning March 10th 2014. I returned the truck to his shop as requested by [redacted] and dropped it off. I was starting to believe [redacted] was not interested in fixing my truck since I had already paid him.

On Thursday March 13th, 2014, I contacted [redacted] and inquired about any progress on my vehicle. I was concerned due to the fact I had driven by several times in the week and noticed my vehicle still sitting in the same spot in the parking lot. [redacted] informed me that he would have it ready late Friday or early Monday. Friday March 14, 2014, at 1:20 pm, I went to [redacted]'s shop to see my vehicle still sitting in the same place in the parking lot. [redacted] was not at his shop so I called him on his cell phone. I asked where he was regarding the repair in my vehicle and he informed me it was being worked on. I then informed him that I was standing in the parking lot of his shop and that he has had plenty of time to have the vehicle repaired but has failed to do so regardless of what he told me he would do.

[redacted] made several excuses about being short handed but never denied that the truck had sat in his parking lot all week. I informed him I would return to pick up the vehicle so that I could take it and get the transmission repaired at another place of business. I also insisted he refund me the money I had paid him.

At about 1:45pm I arrived at his shop and noticed the truck was pulled in his shop and the hood was up. [redacted] had pulled another vehicle in behind my truck so that I could not drive my vehicle away. I was angry with [redacted] at this time and when we spoke our conversation turned into an argument. [redacted] at that time refused to return my truck to me and would not refund my money till he removed all the parts from the transmission. I was forced into calling Robinson Police who made [redacted] return my truck to me.

I have been a total of three weeks without my work vehicle. I believe [redacted] has lied to me and has dragged his feet in repairing my vehicle since has been paid already. I have had about $500.00 in extra expenses due to his incompetence and I still have a truck that is not functioning correctly. I have no trust in this company or it's owner and will have to pay another business to repair my vehicle. I expect a full refund from [redacted] or I will sue [redacted] for the money I paid for his low quality work and for my extra expenses while my truck sat in his parking kot while lied about working in it.
