Review: Mr .Bailey was appointed to me by the courts. I spoke to him 2or three times on the phone , went to see him once. I did not like his services. I fired Mr Bailey, and retained my own lawyer.

He is charging me $694.25 for his services. Which I think is unacceptable for he was a court appointed lawyer .

His charges include: 675 dollars for7.5 hrs of out of court time and $19.25 for 35/ miles of driving time. Which he never came to see me , I went to him.Desired Settlement: Billing adjustments

Review: I contacted Mr. Bailey to handle a seperation agreement. An initial consultation fee of $75 was paid with the understanding that an additional $125 was required to complete this. I was in the middle of gathering all the information together when I was hospiltalized unexpectedly and had major heart surgery with a lengthy recovery period. it was quite a while before I got the information completed but I did send it with a letter explaining my situation to Mr. Bailey. the required additional payment was submitted. several weeks went by and I never heard from him although he did cash my check. I called the number he has listed and left several voicemail messages for him. no response from him. In December 2014 I received a call from his assistant saying he had found my file and wanted to know if I still wanted to proceed. I stated to [redacted] the assistant I indeed wanted to proceed and was told he would get back with me in a couple of weeks to finalize everything. I waited and still didnt hear back. I left yet another voicemail for Mr. Bailey concerning this and never received a response. Frustrated, I finally wrote Mr. Bailey a letter asking for a refund of my $125 since it was clear he had no intention of completing my seperation agreement. After receiving the letter he called me saying he never heard from me so he assumed I didnt want to finish this. He then proceeded to tell me my paperwork was completed months ago and I needed to pay him an additional $600 to file it. I have phone records from my carrier as documentation of calls placed to his number that he never responded to. I sought legal representation from another firm since I dont feel Mr. Bailey is trustworthy. He clearly only responded when asked for a refund and then he proceeded to ask me for more money. I dont feel this is an honest business practice.Desired Settlement: a refund of the $125 fee I paid for services not rendered.
