Erie acknowledge via phone that they made a mistake by removing the Endeavor from the policy.  We did not receive a statement on 03.10.12 in the amount of $470.00, nor did we receive a statement for the $642. Per [redacted], he indicated that the employee who stated that we canceled the Endeavor no longer worked for the company and that he could only go by the documentation that was "documented".  [redacted] also provided the phone number to the president of the company in which a message was left for a return call.  To this day, we still have not received a response.  The office indicated that they would add the vehicle back to the policy with an effective date of 03.10.12 due to the error that was made on their end.  We did not request that the vehicle be added back to the date in which Erie made the error and removed.  Erie indicated that my husband contacted them regarding the purchase of the Kia, which is incorrect.  I purchased the vehicle and contacted Erie to have it added to the policy.  At no time, did I or my husband indicate that we no longer had the Endeavor.  Erie did not state that we would be responsible for the policy of the vehicle in which they made the mistake.  The documentation that was provided on July 16, 2014 - Declaration pages along with 6 ID cards has both vehicles on the policy, not just the Kia.  Again, Erie did not provide the necessary documentation with regards to the vehicle; therefore I will ask that the $1112.00 be waived.  I am willing to pay the $563.50 for this quarter.

This is in response to complaint [redacted], involving the removal of one vehicle from
our insured’s policy and the addition of another.
On 06/18/2012 our office was notified that our insured had purchased a new Kia Optima
on 03/10/2012 and that their...

2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor was to be removed. Our office
completed this change with the effective date of 03/10/2012.
06/25/2012, Erie Insurance sent an updated declarations page to the insured showing the
removal of the 2011 Mitsubishi and the addition of the Kia Optima.
10-27-2012, Erie sent the renewal policy for the policy period of 11/30/12 to 11/30/13 to
the insured showing only the Kia Optima on the policy, no Mitsubishi, no id card.
10-26-2013, Erie sent another renewal policy to the insured for policy period of 11/30/13
to 11/30/2014 showing only the Kia Optima on the policy, no Mitsubishi, no id card.
At no time during the 18 months after the Mitsubishi was removed did Erie send out any
paperwork or insurance cards showing the Mitsubishi was still insured on the policy.
January 2014, our insured called to have an id card sent out so they can get their
Mitsubishi inspected. Our office had stated that the Mitsubishi has not been on the policy
since 03/10/2012. Our office contacted the Eric home office, stated the issue and was
instructed to add the Mitsubishi back onto the policy with the effective date of
03/10/2012.
With the car added back on the policy with an effective date of 03/10112, Erie sent two
bills to the insured. One for $470 which represented the Endeavor added onto the policy
from 03/10/12 to 11/30/12 and a second bill for S642 which represented adding the
Endeavor to the policy for 11/30/13 to 2014. Total amount due for the back date is
$1,112. The insured is asking Erie to waive $1690.50 which includes their third quarter
payment of S563.50, not just the back dated amount.

In response to the insured stating that the employee is no longer here is false. The
employee who made this change is still employed with our agency, just wasn’t here the
day ofthe phone call complaint.
In response to the insured leaving several messages to the office of the president at Erie
Insurance is also false. The Erie home office does not have any record of such phone
calls being made, verified by our agency through a phone call to the office of the
president on July 16, 2014.
Erie had sent at least 3 Declaration pages and 6 ID cards showing only the Kia Optima
from 06/2012 through January 2014. We feel that sufficient documentation was sent out
for the insured to notice that the Mitsubishi had not been part of the policy and the
amount of $1112 will not be waived.

Review: 01/2014: Upon inspection of our Mitsubishi Endeavor, we realized we did not receive our Erie Insurance card for the 6 month time frame. After placing a call to our Erie Insurance Agency - [redacted], LLC we were informed that the made an error and termed the insurance policy of the Endeavor after our purchase of the Kia Optima in 03/2012. Until Jan 14' we continued to receive insurance cards for the Endeavor with no cancellation notice. Per Erie, they made the mistake by removing the vehicle. [redacted] is now requesting that we pay for the last 2 year of insurance on the Endeavor in the amount of $1690.50, based on there mistake. After speaking with [redacted], he indicated that the person who handled our account is no longer with the company to confirm the error and that we are responsible for paying the $1690.50. [redacted] requested that we contact the President of Erie Insurance. After leaving multiple messages we have yet to receive a retuen call. On 07/13/14 we received a cancellation notice for 08/02/2014 if we do not pay the $1690.50.Desired Settlement: I would like for the $1690.50 to be waived as this was an error within the [redacted], LLC group. We continued to receive insurance cards until 01/2014 with no cancellation notice. Within those 2 years, no accidents and no claims filed.
