This man did an inferior and sloppy job with our wallpapering. Completely unacceptable. We spent a lot of money on the paper, and [redacted] ruined it.\[redacted] said he could do our papering job. It was only a small foyer and hallway..top half of wall only as the bottom half is wainscoting. Next, just one small wall in kitchen, again , top only because once again, the bottom half is wainscoting. In addition, there was the soffit area above the cabinets. By all accounts, this was a small job that should have been completed in a day or less, however it took [redacted] almost two weeks. He would show up at approximately 11:00 or 11:30( some days later)and work a few hours and then quit for the day. I complained about the seams because he overlapped them by about 1" when the seams should have been butted. He said he would fix it the next day. All I will say is this, "Second verse, worse than the first!" and more paper had to be purchased but [redacted] paid for it. He then had to call someone to redo the wall with the overlapped seams. Trouble is, he only fixed one wall. On the other side of the entry, the wall has a one inch overlap which shows up as a big bulge There are numerous air bubbles in both rooms and the inside corners have been "wrapped" rather than hung the correct way. Where the walls meet the ceiling, he did not trim properly, and there is paper on the ceiling which look like there is paint on the ceiling. One wall in the hallway has been overlapped. If you were to stand and look at the wall you would see the uncolored raw overlap. The paper is poorly applied over the closets and bedroom doors and is not even stuck in a few places over the doors. Again jagged cuts..paper on ceiling, many bubbles. Now the kitchen...the soffit area is dreadfully horrible. The cuts are jagged and uneven, and in some areas, the plaster is visible as a wavy line. Over the fridge at the end of the cabinet, it looks as if a scrap piece was just "stuck" it there. In general, the kitchen is horrible with overlapped seams. I complained, and he said he needed more paper which I paid for. He did it again, finished the job and left. What he redid was just as bad...overlapped seams. We spent a good amount of money on the paper and the paste, and now have walls that need to be stripped and re-papered.Desired SettlementWe want our wallpaper replaced and the newly applied wallpaper removed, and the walls re-done the way they should have been done, properly, professionally and TIMELY. We took [redacted] as a man of his word, that being, that he is a professional and skilled paper hanger. We were not shopping prices, we just wanted a nice job. We did not get this. I might add that my husband and I are seniors on a fixed income, and we cannot afford for thins like this to happen. Business Response I did not know that they were not that happy with the job and I will replace the four roles of wallpaper in the hallway and I will replace the two rolls of paper in the kitchen to resolve this issue. This is not right because we need the paper that he put up to be removed, and we need him to find a professional to re-hang the paper. We paid [redacted] to do the job, and we do not want, nor should we have to, pay someone to to the job properly. We paid him I full for a job that was done in an unprofessional and shoddy manner.
