Review: ON SEPT 12 2013 MY CAR NEEDED REPAIRS DONE TO IT. I LEFT IT WITH KEY AUTOBODY IN [redacted] NJ EXPECTING THEM TO DIAGNOS THE PROBLEM WITH AN WRITTEN ESTIMATE BUT TOLD [redacted] ONE OF THE OWNERS I NEEDED THE CAR FIX THAT DAY BECAUSE I NEEDED IT FOR WORK. THEY OUTSOURCED THE REPAIRS TO ANOTHER SHOP AND FIXED THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WRITTEN CONSENT AND NEVER SUPPLIED ME WITH A ESTIMATE BEFORE DOING THE WORK. AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED [redacted] TOLD ME I COULD NOT GET IT BACK UNLESS I PAID FOR THE CHARGES IN FULL WHICH WERE NEVER AUTHORIZED OR SIGNED FOR BEFORE THEY DID IT. I BELIEVE I WAS OVER CHARGED BUT I WAS NEVER GIVEN AN ESTIMATE AND I NEVER SIGNED FOR THE WORK THAT WAS DONE AND IT WAS DONE BY ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP WHICH I DIDN'T TAKE IT TO. I HAVE A RECEIPT FROM THE SHOP I NEVER AUTHORIZED TO DO THE WORK AND WAS CHARGED BY KEY AUTOBODY BY MY DEBIT CARD JUST TO GET IT BACK. NOTHING THEY DID WAS DONE BY THE CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS AND I WANT JUSTICE.Desired Settlement: I LIKE A FULL REFUND BECAUSE THE WORK WAS NOT AUTHORIZED.

I had a great experience with Key. Had a minor repair, they fixed it right away for a decent price. Gave me automated text updates of the status and it was done the next day as was promised. Looks great. Very Professional. Competitive price. That's a win in my book.

Review: On December 1st 2014 I left my car for repair with Key Auto-body. I was told that my car will be ready in about 9 days after the appraiser visit. Appraiser did estimate repairs on December 8th. Since that time I contacted Key Auto-body every week. Most of the time I had to call few times a day, because nobody replied to my messages. When I was lucky to speak to a person I was told that either parts are on back order or appraiser has to approve addition work. I called appraiser and he advised me that Key Auto-body did not contact him, but he called them with offer of addition assistance. Key Auto-body did not requested anything additional from appraiser. Finally I was promised to have my car ready after Christmas. After another visit at Key Auto I was assured that car will be done after New Year. When this date was ignored I went to the shop again. This time I was promised to have my car back by January 7th 2015. Finally I received message that car will be ready after 3 pm on Friday January 9. Happily I went to the shop but... only to find out that small part of body trim is missing. [redacted] and [redacted] asked me to pay for repairs in full and come back next week for missing part. I refused but i'm hopeless to get back my car soon.
