Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: As professional business if you offer price for a product and the client except it and write check for you based on that price if you change the price for the same product for any reason you should mange to keep the check until they except our reject the price changewhen they notifies me about the price change I reject it immediately and went the next day to get my check they told me they send it to the financial agent ????????????? I waited for almost tow week to get my money back and they did't do any effort to get me my check back they just give me the agent phone NO to deal with them to get my money back.? [redacted] ***

Subject: Complaint ID: [redacted] ***To Whom it May Concern,? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? On 11/21/2017, I became aware that a complaint was filed with the Revdex.com about our business practices? Apparently notification was sent by the Revdex.com on/about 11/24/ concerning this complaint, but it was not received in the offices of Key Insurance? During a call to the Revdex.com on another matter, this situation was mentioned? I asked for an opportunity to review and respond.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Mr [redacted] did inquire about insurance during the last quarter of ? After presenting his underwriting information, a quote was generated on/about 10/28/? This quote was presented to Mr [redacted] at that time? On November 5th, Mr [redacted] came to the office to bind coverage? However, in the intervening time from the original quote to the bind quote, the insurance company had altered rates and underwriting requirements? This resulted in an increase in the rate when Mr [redacted] ultimately bound coverage.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Key Insurance submitted the original application and collected monies based on the initial quote? Those monies were submitted to the insurance company through an on-line payment the same day that the coverage was bound? Once that was completed, the monies were no longer in the possession of Key Insurance? When the bind documents were sent back by the insurance company, it was then we were advised of the rate increase? Mr [redacted] declined to take the coverage at the increased rate offered by the insurance company and a cancellation process started? As to the monies given to Key by the insured, $was returned to the insured, on/about November 16, ? As to the “overdrafts” mentioned, it appears that the check the agency was given was insufficient? Otherwise, there would not be any overdrafts.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Key Insurance is NOT an insurance company? As an agency, we coordinate the purchase of insurance with insurance companies? We do not effect rate, nor do we set underwriting standards? Further, we are not privy to upcoming changes in underwriting or pricing? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Key Insurance returned monies in a timely fashion, making the insured whole? Rates and underwriting are determined by the insurance companies, not insurance agencies? Key Insurance performed to industry standards in this situation, actually returning monies in an expedited manner to help this client out.Thank You,Steve J***, CIC, CRMOwner/Broker420-4270Keyinsure.net

In our initial response, Key Insurance maintains that all monies due Mr [redacted] have been returned.? These monies were returned in a timely/expedited manner.? The RCW and WAC requires a timely return of insured's premium.? However, if Mr [redacted] can provide any information as to why he thinks he might be owed more money or has not received monies sent him, Key Insurance will be glad to investigate and correct any issues.Our intent is to provide excellent service in each instance.? We would look forward to the opportunity to assist Mr [redacted] until he is satisfied or understands the return premium process.? Steve J***, CIC,CRM

Subject: RE: Revdex.com- Complaint ID ***Ms***, I have received and reviewed the attached complaint, ID *** Mr*** is presently our client working under the dba: Flat Rate for Hire #*** Mr
*** began his last insurance contract on 11/8/through New York Marine and General Insurance Company. I understand Mr***’s request for loss runs He has correctly stated that he has made a request of our firm for these documents And, as we advised him on multiple occasions, we do not have them. These documents are provided by an insurance company and/or their authorized representatives In his case, Key Insurance as the retailer, locates insurance coverage from wholesalers who, in turn, quote and bind insurance based on their contracts with various insurance companies Key Insurance is not an “authorized representative” of New York We are essentially a “buyer” of their products Based on his particular underwriting profile, Mr*** purchased the least expensive coverage available to him through New York Marine and General Unfortunately, New York Marine and General does not share loss data with anyone They view this data as proprietary In point of fact, we are in the same situation as Mr*** We need the same data to aid in the process of locating alternate coverages for other clients besides Mr***. It is a common misconception that this loss information can be accessed by the policyholder I am embarrassed to say that I labored under this same misconception for nearly years until I contacted the Office of the Insurance Commissioner in the State of Washington. After speaking with a supervisor in the Consumer Affairs Division, I was advised of the following: ***,I am not aware of any RCW or WAC 284, Revised Code of Washington (RCW Insurance) and the Washington Administrative Code (WAC 284) requiring the release of loss runs. This supervisor, with decades of code experience, agreed that it is something of an anomaly in the code, but nonetheless affirmed that there is no legal requirement for an insurance company to distribute these documents Other insurance company’s willingness to provide this information is helpful, but not mandated New York Marine and General, its wholesaler, and other employees or authorized representatives of the company have opted not release any “proprietary data” to anyone This proprietary data includes “loss runs” This position is unfortunate for all who might want this information Understanding that Mr*** might want to confirm this for himself, he could call the OIC’s office directly at 360-725- Frankly, I would hope for a different outcome for both he and Key Insurance.Steve
