Key Management Reviews (4)

The only time anyone in that office was remotely friendly was the day I signed my lease. Since then if there is ever a problem they treat me suspiciously like they think I am causing issues in the house. They will not get ANYTHING done without multiple calls to their office. They will not call you back ever, you will once again have to call them to see the results of the issue.

The worst part of everything is the comments they have left here. It is disgusting that people raise legitimate concerns and negative experiences, and instead of wanting to fix their name by trying to make their wrongdoings right, they make defensive comments and excuses.

This business has no principles and should be avoided at all costs by any rational consumer. They do not care about the happiness of their tenants, they do not care about the profits for their owners. I wish I never came across this company.

Company claimed to work well with owners; however, the company often sent repair service without notification, charges appeared for items over a year old (without notification), and company was content with not having a renter for over a year.

If you could afford to lose whole rental income without any notification it was going to happen, the company will be fine. However, if you planned for that money and it was suddenly gone, that was my experience. Fired them after it happened 6 times in one year.

Due to their "management" I lost approximately $15,000 since hiring them.

Felt the Need to write this review, as we feel we have been treated wrongly and feel many have probably been taken advantage of also.I have never been so disappointed with this management company and I wanted to alert all potential renters as well as current renters.
So we stayed at a rental off of [redacted]. We were there for 2 yrs. Really older 3/2 home with nothing spectacular about it. Move out date 5/31/14. We put in our move out letter 4/28/14. Had carpet professionally cleaned 5/31/14 and cleaned that house from top to bottom!!! Returned keys that night into their drop box and felt great as we left that home move in ready for someone else.We left that house better than when we first entered that rental.
So here's where it all started. We entered that rental with a security deposit of 895. We called Monday morning 6/2/14 to let them know we returned the keys( AS WELL AS PICTURES,CARPET RECEIPT ,FORWARDING ADDRESS) and we inquired about our security deposit and they said our security deposit would take 14 business days to get back to us. So we figured 6/19/14. Now I called 6/18/14 just to see how it was coming and "[redacted]" said it was in accounting. Now its 6/26/14 called and spoke to a "[redacted]" and he stated that our check had been cut ALREADY and that a deduction list might arrive with the check. So we said, well they couldn't really take out that much because we literally left that house spotless. Received letter 6/28 with a check of $517! SHOCKED,THAT'S ALMOST HALF GONE! So deduction list didn't state in detail except cleaning and blinds. We were livid, so we went online to research what rights we had.We disputed their claim because it took them so long to send us our check and we sent it back stating we wanted all our deposit back on 7/1/14 certified letter. Received their letter 7/12/14 with original check of $517 again with a letter stating because in our move out 30 day notice we didn't DEMAND our security back they don't have to give it back. Now how is that fair! We figured, this is the first and last time anybody will ever be scammed or be uneducated about their rights. So we will be writing on EVERY rental review about them and every rental site so others are educated about their rights and the proper steps to take. No angry feelings just moving on and letting everyone know! So I hope these steps really help someone.
1. Before move in, write down EVERY single thing wrong/damaged in your rental property. Even the smallest scratches , dents, holes, EVERYTHING! They'll deduct you for it later.
2. Take pictures or do a short walk through video for your personal records.
3. READ about your rights as a tenant on the website www.[redacted] and get all the information you need.
4.Report anything wrong that needs attention in writing as well as calling in to fix. Keep track of when you call and when its actually fixed.
5. On your 30 day move out letter please state in your own words you DEMAND your security deposit back within the 14 business days allowed by the Law. Anything you feel was taken out wrongly can be fought for, so keep proof.
6.Moving out: Clean your rental inside and out, have carpets professionally cleaned, make a copy of receipt, take pictures and drop off to property management with acknowledgement stating that they received them.
7. Keep calling about your deposit, dating when you did and who you spoke to.
And that is all . I sure do hope this has helped, and will help some in the future, so you won't need to deal with the run around from a "professional company" Glad to be done with this endeavor.
Sincerely [redacted]

Do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from this company. They do not know how to run a business, let alone manage property. Every person I have ever talked to is unprofessional. Today I came home to an 85 degree house. We were told they could not get anyone out until between 11am and 3pm tomorrow. When I questioned their maintenance person (Joe) about getting someone out sooner, he said nobody could. When I asked him if Key Management would reimburse us if we called our own contractor out sooner, he said he had "No answers for that". I asked him if there was someone he could call to GET the answers and he laughed and said "The office is closed". I asked him if he has his boss' cell phone number, to which he replied "yes, but I am not going to bother him". WOW hoe professional is that? It is their JOB to make sure their tenants are taken care of, but it obviously is a "bother" for them to do so. NO REASON for this company to have an A rating whatsoever!!
