My complaint concerns a stay at the Key West Inn and the problems we hadOn 7/11/2015. Me and my wife arrived at the Key West Inn approx at 8:30pm. We took our belongings in the room and immediately headed to the casinos. We returned to our room at approx. 12:30am. Upon starting to use things in the room we encountered a dirty tub, no hot water when my wife tried to take a shower, urine stained under the toilet seat,ramen noodles on the bathroom floor,roaches crawling around the bathroom sink area. After the roach, my wife suggested checking the bed. We pulled the sheets back and found small black bugs hopping across the sheets. She then went to the front desk clerk expressing the problems. The clerk stated she could not give us another room and that she didnt check the room, only turned on the ac prior to our arrival. I asked for a refund so we could just leave and she declined that as well.She gave my wife sheets to change the bed herself. After that, my wife decided to check the entire room and also found debris and bugs in the dresser drawers, food crumbs and trash in every corner and frozen wasted beer in the refrigerator along with dirt and gnats in the bottom. She refused to sleep in the room and slept in the car. The front desk clerk told my wife the manager would call us first thing in the morning before we departed but, otherwise told me he was gone for days on vacation. We even asked to be relocated to another Key West Inn and was denied that. I do not think it is fair for me to waste my good hard earned money on something so disgusting just for my wife to sleep in the car and for me to use a towel to dry my hands. I am requesting an immediate refund and response that I never received as promised to my wife.Desired SettlementI am seeking a refund from the establishment. I do not wish to have a free stay or discount at this facility in the futureBusiness Response The room was throughly checked before the guest checked in and also checked after the guest checked out. There was nothing close to what the guests described. All of our rooms are inspected before the guest checks in and things like ramen and roaches are easily caught during the inspection. The front desk clerk offered to come and remake the beds, but the guest refused and took new sheets. The room was checked right after the guest left and nothing was found as the guest describes above. We could not relocate to another Key West Inn, because there is not another one around here. We were sold out that night; therefore, there were no empty rooms to offer the guest. I apologize for any inconvenience. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The receptionist herself told me that she did not do a thorough check of the room. All she did was make sure the Air Conditioning was on. This entire response is total bull. This is a very nasty establishment and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Bugs found in bed.Sunday September 20, 2014. I went and told front desk clerk and even brought her a bug that had been in my room in a bag. I told her there was a spider and several small bugs in my bed and one large green bug on my head board. She promised to have the owner call me that day. It is now 3 days later, and I am still waiting to hear back. She promised to have some kind of comp issued and still nothing. I paid 65.95 to not sleep because of being worried about other insects. The office was closed and only has a small window to leave keys in after hours. Desired SettlementI would like a full refund now. As I tried to work with the motel before leaving. August 12, 2015To Whom It May Concern:I had reserved a room for 2 at the Key West Inn in Robinsville, Mississippi on 7-3-15. When we arrived and went to the room, we saw bugs in the room, and the bed looked like it had been slept it, let alone sheets changed. I went and told the attendant that I wanted a refund on my credit card and they told me they could not do that, until they talked to the Manager. So we left and went to another Hotel. I feel they misrepresented their Hotel. I have called them several times and they have just give me the run around.And they refuse to refund my money.Dissatisfied Customer[redacted].Desired SettlementRefund my CCBusiness Response The guest had reserved a room online at this property. I, the general manager, was at the Front Desk when the guest came to tell us that it wasn't what he had expected as far as what was online. Our rooms and amenities are exactly like what is shown online. In fact, the rooms are look much better because we have just renovated and haven't had a chance to upload new photos. The guest did mention something about bugs before leaving. He told us he was leaving; however, did not mention anything about a refund, nor has he called the property for a refund. The desk clerk checked the room after he left; however, she did not find any bugs in the rooms.
