First of all I want to assure you that we do take insect activity very
seriously and are diligent about precautions as well as treatment should there be any activity foundThat being said I have researched your stay and it was our Night Manager, Richard***, who spoke with you the evening of your recent overnight stayHe did mention your concerns regarding insect bites and informed you that we will have an inspector come out to inspect the room for insect activity and would then be contacting you with those resultsHe further explained that we need to wait for the inspection results in order to verify a claim for your refund requestWe do put the room as "out of order" status until the pest control company can inspect so no other guests will have been in the room from your stay until given the time the pest company can thoroughly examine the room
We have since received the report and I have forwarded that to you today through the email address we have for you on fileYou will see that the report shows that no insect activity or infestation was found in the room of your overnight stay so therefore we are unable to process a refund to youshould you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me

As I expressed to the mananager that not everyone experienced bites who stayed in the roomI assumed the bites took place in the room because we slept overnightI advised of the poolside cushioned chairs where of the children complained of bites mid afternoon I have photos of before poolside and during poolside to support this took place during our stay at Key Lime CoveI am adiment that Key Lime Cove wants to protect the brand as much as I want to protect my familyI have no signs or traces of bed bugs in my home and no incidents priorCorrespondence from management has been very disheartening and unapologetic

We have had several recent conversations with this guest in which we have sincerely apologized for any inconvenience to her and her familyWe have inspected each area mentioned to ensure that if insect activity was found we would be able to have it addressed immediatelyWe in no way want our guests to be impacted by such an experienceUnfortunately, neither the guest room nor the waterpark area has had evidence of insects nor has there been mention by other guests in the waterpark area of receiving any bitesWhile we cannot refund this guest's recent stay as no activity was found we would like to offer a discounted rate on a future stay should they so choose to experience us againShe did mention her daughter was not feeling well when they arrived in the waterpark, possibly another visit when she is feeling better would make for some nice family memoriesPlease let me know if you are interested in a discounted future stay
