Company responded by handwritten message transposed by Revdex.com staff-***Customer came in with her boyfriend with estimate from her insurance companyThe shop went over that estimate with her. They decided to leave vehicle with us for repairs because front bumper was dragging the ground. We
then proceeded to do our check car process where she signed authorization for repairs. We found additional repairs called her inscompany and they came out and reinspected vehicle and left update estimateHer insurance company in contact with her about repairs. We don't normally go over estimates with customers unless they askWe did give her a complete final estimate. We never heard from her until we received letter

Review: Keystone Builders installed siding and a gutter behind my garage incorrectly. Water was able to get behind the siding causing OSB rot and the attraction of carpenter ants. I called [redacted] Kaucic who was in charge of this job and informed him of the problem. He answered my phone call once, but after he learned of the damage he won't return anymore calls. I had to have someone else remove all the siding, replace the OSB and kill all the carpenter ants.Desired Settlement: Pay the bill for the repair.

Response:

This siding job was completed in August, 2006. There were a couple of phone messages exchanged between Mr. [redacted] and his salesman, [redacted], in March of this year. There were not any other calls here to the office until last Friday, September 5, 2014, when he left a voice message. I would have called him today, after my schedule for the first part of the week was planned, but, after receiving this complaint, I have not called him. To the best of my knowledge Mr. [redacted] has not informed us of any problems with the siding work in the last 8 years.

Response:

We have not inspected the original work to see how the water was able to get behind the siding and the breathable fanfold insulation that we installed prior to the siding. Unfortunately since there was a two (2) year warranty on the workmanship, and there were not any complaints until this spring, we cannot take another contractors word that the water came in behind both the siding and insulation due to faulty installation. Seeing the rotted OSB board does not show us where the water originated. There are several other places, (ie. areas on the roof, ice-damming, valleys, etc.) that the water could get behind the insulation, that are not related to faulty siding installation. We know that It would have cost us at most $400.00 for material and labor, and even though this complaint is more then six (6) years after the original warranty, and are not sure that it was faulty installation, we would be willing to pay Mr. [redacted] the $400.00 to resolve this complaint. We have not contacted Mr. [redacted] directly because we feel this now a Revdex.com issue, and we are not really sure how the complaint process works.

Review: In Fall of 2011 The company had replaced my roof for both my house and garage. In the process the damaged my garage window (they broke into my garage through the window because they forgot their tools in it). For the past couple of winters I have had to deal with snow getting into my gargage through this window. They admitted to braking it and had promised to fix it. I had also noticed that there was flashing showing on the house roof and they also promised to come back and cover it up. For months I tried to call with no call back or answer on the phone. I was finally able to get ahold of [redacted], earlier this year. I had another complaint The shingles were popping up and bowed on both the house and the garage. Again I was promised they would come out and fix it. I have 2 answering machine voice messages conforming that they would come out. They no-showed twice and now won't return my calls. I want my money back for the project so that I may get another company out to my house to repair the damages and make sure my house and garage are ready for the winter.Desired Settlement: I am seeking full refund of $8,665.00. I feel I have given ample time to resolve this matter and have not been taken seriously. If this matter is not resolved through the Revdex.com I will go to court.

Response:

Mr. [redacted],After we completed the [redacted]' roofing project, we were unaware of any issues until talking to Mrs. [redacted]. We do not have any unreturned voice messages that she states. Our roofing installer was made aware of the issues that were presented to us promptly. Keystone Builders was under the assumption that the installer and the homeowner met and resolved any problems. We were not notified that there were any unresolved issues until this complaint, however, we are not avoiding the [redacted] or any phone calls. The installer will be given a printed version of this complaint and told to contact and satisfy the customer. This time we will verify thru him that the items have been corrected. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused. We have over sixty years of continuous, highly-satisfactory work.
