Review: Hired Keystone Chimney Sweep to stop a water leak coming from our chimney into our kitchen. After three attempts, Keystone employees decided to completely cover our chimney in plastic to see if our roof might be leaking causing the issue, since they hadn't been able to fix the problem yet. One of the employees went into our attic looking for visual signs of leaks from our roof. In doing so, tripped the wet switch off on our air handler for our central air. We had gone out and when we returned, hours later, not knowing that he had tripped the switch....found our house temp. at 87 degrees. We immediately called an heating/air conditioning company to come out to service our a/c unit. The next day, the service people arrived and got the unit up and running. We were completely inconvenienced, and since I am an asthmatic I suffered immensely throughout the night. My husband, [redacted] called Jason L[redacted] and explained what had happened and informed him that we had to pay for a service call and we only wanted him to pay for the labor to get the unit fixed, in the amount of $85.00. Jason responded that we should have contacted his company first....Chimney sweep people instead of certified air conditioning technicians should have been called for an air conditioning problem, which is not logical. As we had no idea what the problem was, other than we had no air conditioning, thus the call to a heating/air conditioning company. Keystone Chimney Sweep employees came out and removed the covering from the chimney, since we had no leaks in our roof. The employees brushed a sealer on the whole chimney, since prior to them covering the chimney, it was still leaking and this finally resolved the chimney water leakage into our kitchen after the fourth attempt. I sent a letter on July 11, 2014 to Jason L[redacted] at Keystone Chimney Sweep and after not receiving a reply after two weeks time, I personally called and left a voicemail message for Jason L[redacted] on or about July 28, 2014. He returned my call and after stating he did not receive the letter but, referenced info. that was in my letter while on the phone call, he said that he was not paying the $85.00 and finished by saying I could take him to small claims court to get the monies owed to us. He was very unprofessional, inconsiderate and obnoxious, yelling and screaming while I tried to explain the reason for my call. The only thing we did wrong, was to hire his company in the first place. BIG MISTAKE !!!!!! Four attempts to fix a problem that should have been resolved with the initial service call.Desired Settlement: $85.00 check to cover labor costs to get central air conditioning system up and running properly.
