Review: This company is totally a SCAM. From the very beginning, they never told me that they would charge us just for them to come out. They clearly said that if everything passes, they would charge us with the price for the certificate. If it does not pass, they would let us know what needs to be fixed and it's up to us whether we want to do it or not. Then they came out and told us it can not pass, but we still have to pay them with the full price even if we decide not to do it. Why they never told me that we would have to pay regardless pass or fail? What kind of company is that? It was a LIE from the beginning. They made me believe that we would only pay if it passes. They just wanted me to make an appointment so they can come out and charge us. When I complained to the boss, he said that no one would work for free. What kind of work did they provide? Just coming out and telling us it can not pass and charging us with the full price for a certificate? This is the worst company we've ever dealt with.Desired Settlement: They should not charge us since they never told me that we would still have to pay even when it doesn't pass.

Review: This is in relation to an alarm service contract I recently discontinued. The alarm was installed on 02/02/2010. At the time of installation, I was charged for radio communicator since the alarm signal does not work on VOIP phones such as [redacted]. The merchant in discussion is Key Stone Alarm located at 402 E Pennsylvania Blvd, Feasterville, PA 19053

Here is the sequence of events

1. Keystone bills its customer in advance of the service on a quarterly basis. The last bill was sent for billing period of May, June and July of 2014. The amount of $114 was paid on 4/28/2014 to Key Stone

2. On 5/5/2014, I called up Key Stone to advise them that I will discontinue the service and was asked to send a letter.

3. On 5/6/2014, I called to confirm to them that the letter is sent. They advised me that they will send an acknowledgement.

4. On 5/19, I called again to check on the acknowledgement and they advised me that they have received a letter. However they are asked me to return the radio communicator and 30 days after I do that, the termination will be effective.

5. After checking the invoice and contract, I called them back again on 5/20 and advised them that the invoice they provided me during installation clearly shows that the radio was paid by me. The company insisted that the radio belonged to them and refused to consider looking at their own invoice. They told me that if I don’t return the radio (which I have paid for), I will not get refunded for the pro-rated amount of the service that I did not use. During the call, the company refused to discuss facts but kept insisting on the radio.

I have the invoice which shows that I was charged for radio cost (not the lease as the business claims). Additionally I have copy of the contract which says that the only thing I need to do during cancellation is to provide a written noticeDesired Settlement: Per my calculation they need to refund the amount of $104.50 (2 months full at $38 per month and 3 weeks for month of May).
