Keystone R V Company Reviews (14)

Since the day I signed the paper work buying my Passport, Keystone has been a nightmareThe delivery driver didn't show up to bring the unit to my dealership so my delivery of the unit was delayedThankfully Beckley's RV worked with me and my work schedule and delivered the unit to my houseThe first time using the camper we discovered that the bathroom door wouldn't stay latched when the camper was levelThat year we took that camper to the dealership to fix several items under the warrantyI asked them to investigate the bathroom door issueThey called Keystone for authorization to open the wall up and investigateKeystone denied the request saying that the wall (3/inch out of plumb) was within tolerance and there was no problemAfter many phone calls from the dealer and myself, Keystone finally agreed to allow them to open it upThey found two studs and the sill plate broken from when keystone ran the plumbing lines in for the showerAfter weeks of fighting and service, I finally was able to get my camper backThroughout the years I have owned this camper, the cable driven slides are constantly failingThe material used to connect the cables to the drive chain come apartThe only way to access this area is to remove several pieces of trimThe cables have been connected using a all-thread connector not nuts and washersI have called Keystone about this issue and have been given the run around by their "customer service/techsupport." Now the unit is back at the dealership to have the slides fixed againKeystone won't accept any responsibility and now won't return a phone call or emailI have gone as far as contacting Thor Industries and they will not respond eitherThis is pretty sad for a company that claims to care so much about their customersAll they care about is the sale and nothing elseI will also be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com

Absolutely THE worst product we have EVER bought It leaked propane from the stovetop burner from the start The leak worsened and we called Dutchman because we have a warranty They said, "oh the warranty doesn't cover labor! and we have to pay to get it fixed and hope to get reimbursed for the parts!" At $per hour is what these RV people charge PLUS a dollar fee just to come out! NO ONE in the Arizona area carries the parts to the stove Oh and the stove and other appliances aren't under Dutchman warranty! The whole unity is cheap, paper-covered pressed board cabinetry, cheap, off-brand TV and radio, and mirrors that never come clean and drawer clips that just fall off The light bulb fixtures and bulbs are substandard and lasts no more than a month with minimal usage NEVER EVER Buy anything from Dutchman or [redacted] Phoenix AZ

The customer service for this business is very badThe company does NOT stand behind their product if it is a big problemThey will not reason with the customer neither will they reason with the companies who sell keystone rv'sAlisha, Alicia, have no respect for the customer throw their weight around since they are in a controlling position it has went to their headsclosing and denying the customer any help for the manufactures warranty closing cases and denying them when in all honesty their product has manufacture defectsThis company will not admit they have made a mistakeDO NOT buy a Keystone RV!!!!!!!

Buyer bewareKeystone does not honor warranty work and their website falsely advertises certified dealers to perform warranty work; however, our experience has been while on vacation, that the dealerships they list will not honor warranty work or perform it if you did not purchase your RV or camper from them
It defeats the purpose of a warranty or having a camper if you can't use it while on vacation, which is when you will typically learn of issues, which is when you need someone to honor the warranty and do work - within reason of course
They do not return calls and the call center reps really cannot help you

In I purchased a travel trailer, a Coleman 297RE During the first year the trailer spent more time at the dealership for warranty repairs than I actually got to use it At the end of the season, 2015, I noticed water leaking outside my trailer in the vicinity of the shower Of course now the trailer is out of warranty so I was out of pocket for a repair that was caused by their poor construction and quality control The hot and cold water supply lines in the shower were never properly tightened to the shower water controls
One of the most annoying and persistent problems has been the proper operation (or lack of) the furnaceWhen first purchased, the furnace would come on and light on the first demand for heat When the trailer had reached the set temperature, the furnace would shut off No problem do far On the next demand for heat, the furnace would attempt to ignite times then shut down The only way to get the furnace to try again was to turn the thermostat cool/heat selector to the off position, then back to heat The furnace will ignite once again and provide heat Then the process starts over
Keystone authorized the replacement of a few parts over the course of a couple visits to the dealer It ran a couple times and appeared to work
As I typically use my RV in warmer weather I don't get much need for turning on the furnace When needed I turn on the electric fireplace (which had to be replaced by the way) This year we've had a bit of early cool weather, so I decided to fire up the furnace Guess what? Same problem Identical Never resolved
I wrote to Keystone/Coleman and asked them if they might consider helping me with this issue as an unresolved warranty item SILENCE
Apparently Keystone/Coleman thinks the faulty operation of a propane device in a camper trailer is a matter to be ignored A consultation I had with an attorney indicates otherwise
Keystone product construction and quality control is pitiful They're so anxious to throw their products together and shove them out the door, they ship with multiple defects, some of which can be life threatening
I have learned a lot in this purchase experience The main one is to never buy another product of the Keystone company I'm no longer surprised I rarely ever see their products on the roadBuyer beware

I bought a Montana High country HM370BR The roof is cracking and breaking when walked on and needs replaced They say its a acceptable sag even the Dealership says it needs replaced but Keystone refuses

Purchased a new unit that experienced a roof leak after only 1/yearsKeystone refused to back the warranty as they referred me to the roof membrane manufacturer despite the fact that the roof was improperly installed by Keystone
Repairs would have cost me over $I traded the unit and suffered the financial loss
This issue along with a bad water heater and a black water tank flush system that never worked (hose pinched between frame and tank when built) is evidence of poor quality and terrible customer service

I bought a brand new Kodiak express camper it started to de-laminate took it to a dealer who inspected it and have over $in damages from water leakage The dealer wrote on the estimate that the factory used trim that only seals part way and allows water to get into places I called the company and emailed a copy of the estimate and they have refused to do any thing because they said I only had a year warranty I will never buy any thing from this company and will tell every one I know I bad they are

I wanted to express the concern I recently have experienced with my warranty with my Keystone AvalancheI own a Avalanche, and we had noticed a crack on the corner of the outside of the entry door where it appeared the door latch had hit and broke the actual doorThis was notice during our year warranty time frameI sent a picture of the damage door to my dealership, in which they submitted this under the year warrantyAfter a long winter, we took our lovely Avalanche to the dealership to get fixed under the year warranty, only to find out that the dealership was denied the repair by the manufacture (that would be you Keystone Manufacturing)The verbiage that was used when my dealership called was, "that was the way they were all made" and he would, "respectfully decline the warranty of this trailer repair"This does not make it right, the door latch on the trailer was placed in a faulty area causing the door to crack if the wind caught the doorThe latch component is made of strong plastic, not of rubber, so the door would crack instead of bouncing off the latchI have owned many trailers that have placed something to protect this from happening to the door, so I am surprised to hear that the Keystone Manufacture was Unwilling to do anything to help with this situationI will be telling my Family and Friends, "I will respectfully decline my recommendation of purchasing a Keystone trailer." I will however recommend my local dealership Smith Group RV for a fabulous customer service experience that they have provided me

In May of we purchased a brand new Aerolite camper Complained for over months to Keystone They were very un-coooperative Finally they sent someone to look at it after taking it to be serviced every two weeks They then determined it factory defect Traded to a Keystone Bullet Same thing have had numerous problems including having to have the slide out replaced We have had to have stove, microwave (we replaced tired of arguing with them), shower leaked Now they have a recall on the wiring of the thermostat which could cause fire Waiting for a letter to get it fixed In the meantime the compressor on the air conditioner went out Not sure if it due to faulty wiring or not but have complained over last year and a half about the air conditioner not working right Nothing done Have had it with Keystone will never buy or recommend them to anyone BUYER BEWARE Their product and customer service is terrible

Absolutely THE worst product we have EVER bought. It leaked propane from the stovetop burner from the start. The leak worsened and we called Dutchman because we have a warranty. They said, "oh the warranty doesn't cover labor! and we have to pay to get it fixed and hope to get reimbursed for the parts!" At $95.00 per hour is what these RV people charge PLUS a 75 dollar fee just to come out!
NO ONE in the Arizona area carries the parts to the stove. Oh and the stove and other appliances aren't under Dutchman warranty!
The whole unity is cheap, paper-covered pressed board cabinetry, cheap, off-brand TV and radio, and mirrors that never come clean and drawer clips that just fall off. The light bulb fixtures and bulbs are substandard and lasts no more than a month with minimal usage.

Since the day I signed the paper work buying my Passport, Keystone has been a nightmare. The delivery driver didn't show up to bring the unit to my dealership so my delivery of the unit was delayed. Thankfully Beckley's RV worked with me and my work schedule and delivered the unit to my house. The first time using the camper we discovered that the bathroom door wouldn't stay latched when the camper was level. That year we took that camper to the dealership to fix several items under the warranty. I asked them to investigate the bathroom door issue. They called Keystone for authorization to open the wall up and investigate. Keystone denied the request saying that the wall (3/4 inch out of plumb) was within tolerance and there was no problem. After many phone calls from the dealer and myself, Keystone finally agreed to allow them to open it up. They found two studs and the sill plate broken from when keystone ran the plumbing lines in for the shower. After 6 weeks of fighting and service, I finally was able to get my camper back. Throughout the 4 years I have owned this camper, the cable driven slides are constantly failing. The material used to connect the cables to the drive chain come apart. The only way to access this area is to remove several pieces of trim. The cables have been connected using a all-thread connector not nuts and washers. I have called Keystone about this issue and have been given the run around by their "customer service/tech. support." Now the unit is back at the dealership to have the slides fixed again. Keystone won't accept any responsibility and now won't return a phone call or email. I have gone as far as contacting Thor Industries and they will not respond either. This is pretty sad for a company that claims to care so much about their customers. All they care about is the sale and nothing else. I will also be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com.

I will never purchase a keystone product again. They are extremely hard to work with when it comes to honoring their warranties. I've been fighting with them for almost a year for warranty work that keeps getting denied by their company. I received my brand new 2016 fifth wheel camper with damage to the awning canvas and keystone refuses to replace it. I took timed stamped photos of the damage less than 24 hours after I picked the camper up. This was the very first time I was able to open the awning. I was unable to open the awning at the dealership due to the fact campers were so close together on the lot. I called the dealer right away and was assured the awning would be replaced. To this day I still have a damaged awning. This is not the only problem I have encountered. I have found this camper to be very poor quality. I can't believe it passed inspection in the first place and made it out of the keystone facility . Second the door will not close properly no matter how level the camper is. I was told the door was fine and I needed to properly level the unit. I'm a carpenter, nobody else understands plumb, level, square more ! I have to slam the door to get it shut every time. Third the counter in the kitchen area was cracked next to the stove top. Forth the faucet in the kitchen was very loose. Fifth the blinds on the back window were broken and would not stay up. Sixth the cabinet hardware in several spots that broke on our first trip. Seventh the cabinet drawers that will not open and close correctly because of poor workmanship. Now I picked my camper up in April and after over a month of arguing and evidence keystone sent me an email stating that all repairs are approved. Now I had to find a dealership willing to do the work because all but one dealership refused to work on it because I didn't purchase from them. So with no help from keystone , after I emailed for a little assistance ,I found a dealership that would fix it. This was in June. It is August 21, 2016 and I still don't have a camper. Now after I got an email stating all repairs are approved, keystone said that they are unwilling to fix the awning canvas due to incidental damage. Now after all that has been wrong with this unit and the time stamped photos as evidence they still deny they claim. Even after originally approving it.

The customer service for this business is very bad. The company does NOT stand behind their product if it is a big problem. They will not reason with the customer neither will they reason with the companies who sell keystone rv's. Alisha, Alicia, have no respect for the customer throw their weight around since they are in a controlling position it has went to their heads. closing and denying the customer any help for the manufactures warranty closing cases and denying them when in all honesty their product has manufacture defects. This company will not admit they have made a mistake. DO NOT buy a Keystone RV!!!!!!!
