I purchased the latest version of Act! from Keystroke and their self-hosting kickstart service
I want to emphasize on the fact that before purchasing Act!, the upper management at Keystroke confirmed that it would be compatible with my current OS
The Kickstart program was sold to me as a turnkey service by KeystrokeAs per their salesman, they were supposed care of everything (setup and configuration) on my server, client machines and handheld devices
Three weeks after my purchase, no news from KeystrokeI finally got tired of waiting and decided to call them to determine when they would initiate Act! setup and configuration
Although there are less then people working at Keystroke, it appeared as all of these people were working on different continentsOne person asking another one to contact me, then asking another personMore than four weeks after my purchase, I finally got a call from one of them
Within minutes of trying to install Act, I realized things were going to get messyThe installation would fail systematicallyAfter performing windows updates, still no success Act! is NOT compatible with my operating system...I guess Keystroke upper management got it wrong from the start
This meant that my server had to be backed up, formatted and a new OS had to be purchased and installedThis means time...a lot of time that I don't have
To make things worse, the people from Keystroke informed me that my VIP package was limited to hours of supportWhat VIP service? I never purchased a VIP service, I purchased a Kickstart service!?
It appears that Keystroke have converted my Kickstart service internally to a VIP service, and this, without my consent and regardless of the fact that my invoice reads Kickstart
In the end, I finally ended up coming at work on a SundayIt took over hours of installation, configuration to get the basic workingNone of the listed services provided under their Kickstart program were ever delivered
In the end, Keystroke management have proposed to reimburse 50% of my VIP service which I never purchased...However, three weeks following their proposal, I have received nothing
I contacted them again and again, but they do not return my emails nor my phone calls

I have been a Keystroke customer for years I as referred to them from ACT software to host my ACT licenses They dropped my hosting plan this year and tried to raise my rate by $300/year for my third year of hosting services with them I was only paying $a year...so that is a 50% increase
I contacted Keystroke numerous times about this increase in my plan to have no one get back to me to address this issue Finally the accounting department (after calls in to them) slightly revised my invoice down and I was told this will NEVER happen again and that I will be at the full rate next year! What is even worse is they sent me a renewal notice at $600, but invoiced me for $and would not honor their renewal email quote I advised them that I was very unhappy about this issue and their lack of resolution And, I feel they did a bait and switch with us They don't seem to care! I plan to look for another vendor to host our software licenses for the following year
