Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [redacted] continues to make responses that do not show that he had legal permission (verbal or written) to remove my staircase platform , or damage or remove my windows or cause damage to my drop ceilingHe and his workers were only to perform remediation to the targeted areas presented in the mold lab report done prior to his mold remediation I was only emailed one photo of the back of the staircase which we discussed and the contract specified that the staircase was only to be disinfected since there were no mold on the staircase steps [redacted] assured me that he would only have his workers remove remnants of sheetrock and some lower comprised wood studs His worker asked my permission to remove "the last step" because he knew that "the contract" did not give him permission to remove any wood from the staircase [redacted] makes statementsMy dining room ceiling was not collapsedI had a minor pipe leak and there was a little mold which n***ed remediationThe back bedroom ceiling which he insisted on opening up and which now n***s repair had NO MOLD in the CEILING! I was sent photos on [redacted] prior to the mold remediation and only one was of the back of the staircaseMy staircase was not collapsing as he has stated and I have many witnesses to dispute this statementHe states he was present daily and discussed what was going to happen prior to it happening, then how come he never discussed his plans to remove my staircase platform without my permission! I was there every day from a.mto when the workers leftI was never even told that the staircase platform was removed and almost fell down the staircase since expected to be placing my feet on a platform! He was not there when I spoke with his worker and was not there at that time to supervise what he did! He arrived later in the day that dayI resent that he addresses me by my first name and that he continues to refuse to take responsibility for violating the legal contract we made! In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

I was contacted by [redacted] in 2013 to view her unoccupied home that suffered hurricane Sandy damages and flooding. She stated, "that she hired people off the street to gut her basement after the storm" versus a restoration company that would properly perform remediation duties, disinfect and...

structurally dry the environment. She then presented us with a independent/3rd party air quality report showing "elevated-un healthy mold spores conditions in (3) areas" and requested a scope of work proposal that was emailed to her.We did not hear back from her until two years later; she then requested the same services. We re-visited the still vacant home and toured the property. We viewed/discussed the same report. I explained the counts were more than likely extremly higher due to the in-action and lack of dehumidifier. She stated that she had plumbing problems and blocked up plumbing issues. A plumber was on site struggling/trying to resolve these issues thru our tour of the same areas identified on the report. She requested another scope of work proposal & agr[redacted] to perform the work. She signed the agreement marked " read, agr[redacted], & understood" "Paragraph B marked #1. Basement Areas: .....Removal of "contaminated materials" from the areas of this basement(sheet rock & lower comprised wood")...Lastly; our terms stated in the contract states that "we are not responsible for any rebuild or repairs" under "Terms" line #4...This is clarified to the home owner so that : "We do not have any conflicts of interests: we have "zero" interest in any rebuild or repairs that maybe n[redacted]ed; there is no reason we would remove any additional lower wood than necessary, unless it was mold remediation necessary". Standard Practice.NOTE: It is necessary to remove lower comprised wood that has been deterirated and rotted from severe water damage and mold growth colonies. Mold f[redacted]s off the wood as a food source. This basement was completely under water with contaminated flood waters and then sat for years untreated, as stated by the homeowner. As she states in her complaint; she had a dialogue with myself and an employee. We explained the removal and the purpose of removing lower comprised, mold covered & dri-rotted wood is EPA/NYC & IICRC's guidelines to prevent mold to continue to thrive and spread. We have no motivation to remove additional wood. This was explained to her and she agr[redacted] and signed the agreement stating this as well. We do not have a homeowner in a hazardous elevated mold spore enviroment as industry protocol and for their own health (PPE is required) remediation. I give a progress report daily in the afternoons for all my clients (as with [redacted]) and set the agenda for the following day. To help clarify we have sent digital pictures that were sent to her and her attorney showing the deteriorated rotted wood that was bascially reduced to mulch.*These pictures were also sent to the independent Certified Air Quality Company that was hired after our services. They performed air samples that showed the (3) areas that were identified in the 1st independent lab results were successfully remediated; we have consulted with the air quality company and have receicved lab results from both companies.[redacted] is in possession of this report.-I have verbally explained to [redacted] that we would not remove any un-necessary wood from the basement area. That we would not remove unaffected materials or perform unnecessary work.-That we did not damage her drop ceiling; it was likely a result of the unprofessional people that were hired to gut her basement 3yrs ago.-We did not clog her sink or take some kind of drain plug.-The (2) flies on the 2nd flr window sill was likely a result of our fogging treatment and not a indication of our cleaning; as discussed with her. We offered to stop by and re-clean window sill & remove the two flies. She refused to make an appointment. The mold remediation work that [redacted] hired our company for, verbally & written, was properly performed and completed.Sincerely,Guy R[redacted]Office ###-###-####

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[redacted] continues to make responses that do not show that he had  legal permission (verbal or written) to remove my staircase platform ,  or damage or remove my  windows or cause damage to my drop ceiling. He and his workers were only to perform remediation to the targeted areas presented in the mold lab report done prior to his mold remediation . I was only emailed one photo of the back of the staircase which we discussed  and  the contract  specified that the staircase was only to be disinfected since there were no mold on the staircase steps.  [redacted] assured me that he would only have his workers remove remnants of sheetrock  and some lower comprised wood studs.  His worker asked my permission to remove "the last step" because he knew that  "the contract" did not give him permission to remove any wood from the staircase. [redacted] makes false statements. My dining room ceiling was not collapsed. I  had a minor pipe leak and there was a little mold which n[redacted]ed remediation. The back bedroom ceiling which he insisted on opening up and which now n[redacted]s repair had NO MOLD in the CEILING! I was sent 4 photos on [redacted] prior to the mold remediation and only one was of the back of the staircase. My staircase was not collapsing as he has stated and I have many witnesses to dispute this statement. He states he was present daily and discussed what was going to happen prior to it happening, then how come he never discussed his plans to remove my staircase platform without my permission! I  was there every  day from 8 a.m. to when the workers left. I was never even told that the staircase platform was removed and almost fell down the staircase since expected to be placing my feet on a platform! He was not there when I spoke with his worker and was not there at that time to supervise what he did! He arrived later in the day that day. I resent that he addresses me by my first name and that he continues to refuse to take responsibility for violating the legal contract we made!
