After reading KHS Auto Dismantler's response, I was more than positive that I had purchased the correct transmission fluid because I obtained help from the dealership. I went back to the manager in the Parts Department, and after looking at the receipt they noticed that they did indeed sell me the wrong transmission fluid and will take full responsibility for all damages. Smith Chevrolet has agreed to pay me $1000 to cover the cost that KHS is charging me. Before this, I would just like to make sure that KHS will still honor it's warranty after the transmission is fixed. I do not want to be having the same same problem.

Customer bought a Saturn Vue rebuilt transmission with 1-year warranty. Customer installed it and said it was making noise. Customer returned transmission we inspected it and found customer placed incorrect transmission fluid in the transmission damaging it. Informed customer of this, let him know...

we repaired the damage caused by this and informed him of the correct fluid to put in the vehicle. Customer installs transmission and again states something still wrong. We pick up the transmission and again the incorrect fluid was used damaging the transmission. We request dealer invoice from customer purchasing the fluid. Customer faxed invoice from dealer for 9 quartz of transmission fluid used for vehicles such as a Chevy Tahoe, Cavalier or similar cars. The Saturn Vue utilized a specific type of fluid obtained by your dealer ONLY. The fluid used for this type of transmission is; ATF Z1 Automatic Transmission Fluid and the additive that must be used with this is; VTi Variable Transaxle DEX-CVT Fluid. The customer tried to get away giving us an invoice for a different vehicle and stating it was for the Saturn Vue transmission fluid. In addition, we fixed the transmission twice, paid for the parts twice, labor twice, and the mechanic's wages twice. We needed to take the transmission apart do the maintenance of detailing it to try and find out what was wrong with it and replace all the gaskets and seals, plus the time spent having the exhaust system detailed and repaired. This was a timely process. In addition, the original purchase Invoice states in bold lettering, "customer agreed to the warranty on the parts only, no labor warranty on this particular transmission". This is the third time the customer wants us to fix the transmission, though we had not charged him for labor the first two times, this last time he will need to pay for the labor we also replaced the transmission oil pump that was damaged due to his error. We would like to solve this problem for the customer though he is not very understanding nor is he willing to pay labor charges. The customer wants a transmission in perfect condition, this is a salvage yard????

I would like to reopen the complaint with KHS Auto Dismantlers for the purchase of a transmission rebuilt for a 2003 Saturn Vue, purchase I made on 3/1/2014. An item they did not have in inventory and I have to wait for because they were rebuilding it. They sent it to me on 3/7/2014 and it did not work. I had to remove and send it to them for inspection. They returned it to me on 03/21/2014. I installed it and it worked until 09/28/2014. It started making a sound when it was running. I then contacted them to inform them on what was happening. They told me to remove it from the vehicle and resend it to them again.I sent it for a 2nd time, they took until 12/05/2014 to return it to me. I installed it and it did not work for nothing. To return it to me on 12/05/2014. I had to pay $1,000 dollars supposedly because the oil we used was not the corrent one. When I called them on 12/06/2014 to inform them that it did not work, they told me to send them the van and they would be made responsible for the costs and all the labor for removing it and installing it. I spoke with the client [redacted] who was in agreement that I send the "van" a KHS Auto Dismantlers. I sent in on 12-16-2014 and they sent it to "[redacted] from the day that I sent it, 55 days have passed and they have not resolved the problem. I have a total of 4 months and 12 days with the van without repair.I believe that it is sufficient time for the company to resolve the problem. My client cannot wait any longer. That is why we wish to pick up the van and ask they return the total amount paid for the transmission ($3,800 Three thousand eight hundred dollars). So I could return the van to the client along with his money because it affects my business not to fulfill services to my clients.

Review: so prior to my visit at KHS my fiance and I were in a car wreck. Upon arriving to the business looking for a Fender to replace the one that has been damaged I found the KHS I got a Fender for about $231.00 they said a brand new aftermarket. So I ordered the part came out of pocket when I couldn't afford it and receive the part the next day. they said they would call me and they didn't I had to call and see if my part was in upon getting my part I opened it and noticed no damage due to lighting when I got home too put it on I noticed there was a dent. I called the company about 6 times 30 minutes before closing they did not pick up until last minute they told me to call back at 9 o'clock the next day which would be today February 1st 2014. upon speaking to the person I did receive the part from I told him what happened and he had told me I was out of luck they would not be able to replace the part or give me any kind of money back nor with the vendor and he refused to give me the name of the vendor or the number, I asked to speak to management he told me no I told him I have a child on the way and told him I couldn't afford defender to begin with his response was I'm sorry bro I wish I could help but there's nothing I can do about it I responded back with there's nothing at all you can do his response was no nothing at all the vendor does not want to replace the part they said they checked it before it left I responded back with understandable but I believe its been damaged in transit he said sorry not my problem then hung up the phone. I am highly upset with this situation my fiance is pregnant with my first child we were recently in a car wreck T Bone and hit head on all I'm doing is trying to fix her car so we can get to her doctors appointments but it seems like neither one of the companies want to do anything to just replace a simple fender that I paid two hundred and thirty one dollars for they just take my money but not help me out what I need helpDesired Settlement: since they are refusing to replace the part I would like to keep the part and get partial money paid back to me at least % 50 $115.00 due to the damage of the fender that is brand new I have pictures of the fender upon receiving it of the dent and the receipt. unfortunately I have no time to buy another fender so the fender will be put on the car I have a bunch of doctors appointments to get to with my fiance for the baby.

Response:

I'M TRULY SORRY TO HEAR OF THE CUSTOMER'S CAR ACCIDENT AND CONGRATULATE HIM ON HIS FIRST CHILD. [redacted] STOPPED IN OUR SHOP AND WAS LOOKING TO PURCHASE A FENDER FOR HIS VEHICLE. THE SALES ASSOCIATE LET HIM KNOW WE COULD GET HIM AN AFTERMARKET FENDER FROM A THIRD PARTY VENDOR, THOUGH IT WOULD NOT ARRIVE UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. YES WE WERE TO CONTACT [redacted] ONCE WE HAD RECEIVED THE FENDER, THOUGH HE IS NOT THE ONLY CUSTOMER WE GET ON A DAILY BASIS, WE WERE QUITE BUSY THAT DAY AND HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO CONTACT HIM BY THE END OF THE DAY. WHEN HE CALLED OUR SHOP IT WAS AFTER HOURS AND ALL THE WORKERS HAD LEFT FOR THE DAY. WE WERE GOING TO CONTACT HIM FIRST THING THE NEXT MORNING. WHEN [redacted] PICKED UP THE FENDER HE CHECKED IT AND WAS HAPPY WITH IT. AFTERMARKET PARTS ARE BRAND NEW PARTS, JUST NOT FROM THE MANUFACTURER, THE THIRD PARTY COMPANY STATED THEY CHECKED THE PART PRIOR TO SHIPPING IT TO US. THEREFORE, THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THIS PART, UNTIL HE STATES HE GOT HOME AND WENT TO REPLACE IT THEN HE NOTICED THE DAMAGE. THESE FENDERS BEND AND DENT EASILY, SO WHEN HE REMOVED IT AND WENT TO REPLACE IT SOMEHOW HE MUST HAVE DENTED THE PART BECAUSE IT WAS BRAND NEW IN THE BOX WRAPPED BY THE THIRD PARTY COMPANY. THE THIRD PARTY COMPANY WILL NOT TAKE THESE PARTS BACK, ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE BEEN DAMAGED. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THAT FOR US THERE IS NO RETURN POLICY, WE CANNOT RETURN IT TO THE THIRD PARTY COMPANY. THEREFORE, WE ARE OUT OF LUCK AND WILL NEED TO TAKE A LOSS FOR DAMAGE WE DID NOT CAUSE. [redacted] STATED "WE JUST TOOK HIS MONEY BUT NOT HELPED HIM OUT WITH WHAT HE NEEDED, OR WHEN HE NEEDED HELP," WELL, WE DID ASSIST HIM IN FINDING A BRAND NEW PART FOR HIS VEHICLE, THEREFORE YOU DID RECEIVE SOMETHING FOR YOUR MONEY. WE ARE NOT HERE TO SIMPLY TAKE PEOPLE'S MONEY AND NOT HELP, WE WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS. OPTIONS: [redacted] CAN FIND SOMEONE TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE HE CAUSED TO THE PART BUT ONCE HE DAMAGED THE PART THE WARRANTY ON IT BECAME NULL AND VOID. I am rejecting this response because:

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a motor based on their expertise they told me which motor to install! Long story short they sold me incorrect motor bate and switch? needless to say this motor didn't work wrong interchange! It cost me nearly 400.00 to install the motor! After 3 days and taking our original motor to their shop we ended up w a new motor which cost me another 400.00 to install! Which ended up to be right and now they say they will not reimburse me for any of the costs I incurred due to their mistake!Desired Settlement: The refund I am looking for is simple I want them to pay for their mistake and pay for 50% of the costs I incurred as a result of their mistake!

Response:

I RECEIVED THE COMPLAINT FROM THE CUSTOMER AND TRIED MY BEST TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT FOR HIM THOUGH IT DID TAKE A FEW DAYS WE DID COME TO AN UNDERSTANDING AND HE DID ASK FOR HALF OF THE INSTALL COSTS AND I DID PAY HIM FOR HALF OF THE CHARGES. WE DID TAKE CARE OF OUR CUSTOMER, IT JUST TOOK A FEW MORE DAYS THAN USUAL. SINCERELY, KHS CORPORATION, DBA KHS DISMANTLING & REPAIR

Review: KHS advertised motor for sale. I was told it was on hand. I was charged, but didn't see it. I called 2 weeks later and told it was never unavailable.

I ordered a motor for a 2001 Lincoln LS. I was charged on the 1st of November but didn't see it arrive. I called and was told that the person who handles billing, shipping and charges would call me back. After 3 hours I finally received a call-back saying they don't have the part. I asked then why was I charged. The lady apologized, but only offered a refund. It has been almost 2 weeks now, and I was reliant upon that part to meet my deadline. Now I have an angry customer, am still waiting for my money back, and have to front the money for another engine from another source. Desired Settlement: I simply wanted an equivalent engine (roughly same mileage and condition) for the applicable vehicle expedited to my location. If this is not possible, I feel that more than just a mere refund should be offered.

Review: I ordered a part 9/15/15 from this place. they took a $100 deposit on the part. I was told the part would be at my shop on 9/16/15 in the morning. about 1 pm I call to find out [redacted] of part. I was told part was bad. they never called me and wont refund my money. they are very rude and just hang up on me. they told me to try another place but now I cant because they wont give my money backDesired Settlement: refund my money

Review: Bought a civic transmission from them. It was the wrong transmission. Ruined my engine, because the gearing was low. They wouldn't take it back .

They supplied me with the wrong transmission for a 93 civic. The gearing was too low. So, I ended up paying to have it installed, and then they wouldn't do anything about it.

It was their fault for supplying me with the wrong transmission. There are three transmission for that year. Mine was a 93 civic VX, not Dx or LX.

No my engine has a knock from spinning so fast on the freeway.

So, all in all, it will cost me a new engine, and I already changed the transmission to the right one.

This fiasco will cost me about 2,700 dollars (Rebuilt engine and rebuilt transmission and labor).

Thank these guys for nothing. They are cheaters.Desired Settlement: They should pay for my engine and transmission.

Review: buy a transmission rebuilt, 1 year warranty, since I wore it for the first time, opened with a big noise will not work, and return them is and it took about 2-3 weeks and sent me for after, supposedly everything was vien and now already bolvio to make noise and they already have a month with the transmission, today they talked q already have the transmission list but q q I have pay 1000.00 dollars. When I lescompre a transmission rebuilt by q supposed has 1 year warranty and pay $2800 and designers that I have to pay labor to rebuild it again, they don't want to validate the warranty nesesito to pay them $1000 more to be able to seize my tansmission I have tried to talk to them but they don't want to solve this problem are flatly refusing to collaborate with me already lost long time, money and my client is very upset by this situation, and this process has been since 03-01-2014 but [redacted] with them already not be as poreso I turn to you for help me out of this problem in the best possible way to negotiate.Desired Settlement: wants to return me my money or I delivered the transmission in perfect condition so I have no more problems with them and solve the situation with my client
