Great cabin very cute all the bells and whistles you would want… only complaint is the Wi-Fi internet if your looking to watch movies or stream your phone the internet is the worst. Other than that great experience

We have received the above listed complaint and would llke to lodge a formal
response.The subject of the complaint pertains to a reservation made for short term vacation lodging.The specific issues contained in the complaint are:We would not cancel the reservation without penalty based on their
part icu lar circumstances.They were treated rudely.We would not refund them their monies.The first item - that we adhered to our cancellation policies and would not take their particu lar
circumstances into
consideration, is trueWe are a property management company and as such are responsible to our property owners for nights bookedOu, company would still be liable for the income of the cancelled book ing regardless of the reasons we may allow the guest to cancelOur policy clearly states that guests are liable for the full balance of the reservation if they cancel within the days prior to their arriva l dateGuest who book onllne,such as this one, are required to agree to the policy prior to completing the bookingThey also are emailed a copy of the policy
as part of their booking confirmationGuests who book online are also offered the option of adding Trip Interruption Protection to their account which would have
covered this circumstance This option is offered by way
of a popup menu which requires guests to"continue" past if they do not want to add anything to their accountThe Trip InterruptionProtection is also covered in the policies they agree to when reserving and are received with the confirmation.The second item-that they felt they were treated
rudely, is incorrect and someth ing that J im aginecould be credited to the guests
perceptions based on their stressful sirnationI personally assisted the reservation agent on this callJ can say with co nfidenc e that the
agent was considerate of the guest's loss and apologetic regarding our inability to cancel the
reservation without penalty. We do work with our guests as much as possible within their particular circumstances. We have regularly allowed guests to switch the dates of their stay, to transfer
the monies to
a gift certificate, or to transfer the stay to another guest, or if we are able to rebook the cabin, we refund their monies minus the standard $cancellation chargeIn
this instance the guest was cancelling a booking made for Labor Day weekend
and the agent explained that we would cancel the reservation and make
every effort to
rebook t he cabin and refund their moneyIt was explained that although we felt
confident we would be able to rebook the cabin for the holiday weekend, it was not an absolute certainty
we would do soAt no time was the agent anything other than polite to the guest.The final item -that we would not refund their monies, is also falseWe were able to successfully r ebook the cabin before the end of the same business day and processed a refund for her initial payment of $on8/30/(trans ID 6***7)The refund of the second payment would not processWe
attempted to refund through our system several times throughout the following week and I ultimately had to do a force refund through my credit card company for the balance of $on 9/11(trans
ID 4***2)The Initial refund was made prior to this complaint being submitted to the Revdex.com and both refunds we reprocessed prior to our company's receipt of the complaint
