Here is our response to complain ID [redacted] which was filed about Kid Junction.
Below is the sequence of event.
On January 21st, 2015 [redacted] booked a Nano Birthday party for her twins using our...

online reservation system for Feb 15th 2015, 2 PM to 4 PM Slot. Later that day she called and asked to consider her two kids as just one for which we made exception to our policy and considered both children as one.On the day of the Party:When [redacted] and her guests arrived on February 15th, prior to 2 PM, our manager Jose P[redacted], informed them that we are a no shoe facility and that she and her guests are required to take off their shoes before leaving the front area. She asked when her party room will be ready and we said not until 3 PM, as the party schedule is 1 Hour open plan, 30 mins in the party room and the last 30 mins is open play. She was not happy that she and her guests have to take their shoes off and the room was not available until an hour into their party, so they stood in the front area for about 45 minutes waiting for their room to be ready. [redacted] also mentioned that when she booked her party one of our staff had told her she can go to the giant down the street and get a tub of ice-cream for her party. We are a nut free facility, as per our policy we do not allow outside food, we allow only nut free cake to be brought into the facility by the party parent, our booking representatives are trained to let the customers know about this policy and they book a lot of parties and we never let customers bring anything other than a nut free cake, we have all the rules and policies listed in our online booking system as well and we also read out the rules to customer after we get their booking. When [redacted] booked her party online she was presented with a list of rules and policies that also stated no outside food is allowed, it also states that goodie bags are held at the front desk and at the end of their party it is the parents responsibility to hand them out to their guests. She was upset with the goodie bags being held at front desk.At 2:30 PM, the party in the room before [redacted] and [redacted]'s were getting ready to head out and the party host was preparing the room for the [redacted] party. [redacted] and her guests were told that the room is being prepared for them and they could begin to set up if they would like but the party host will still be cleaning up as well. Again their party room was not officially theirs until 3 PM. There was icing on one of their children's seat pillow which we were not informed of until after the party was already over, at any point we could have given the child a new pillow. Because we were closing early for a private party that night we allowed [redacted] and her guests to stay 40 minutes after her party ended. At about 4:40 the party was called to the KJ music room to make their bopping heads video and then we made the announcement we were closing at 5 PM to prepare for the private party. When [redacted] came to pay she was very angry with everything and did not want to pay her final bill and said she would just leave if we did not give a discount that satisfied her. She began yelling and disturbing the private party that was beginning to set up so we called one of our owners and he decided she didn't have to pay for any of the food and she still wasn't happy with that. She said she didn't mind paying for the food she just didn't want to pay for the party. We then gave her a $110.64 discount off of her Nano birthday party package. Her remaining balance at the end of her party would have been $197.79 and she agreed to pay the price of $87.15, attached are the receipts.As can be seen from the receipt she paid the final adjusted balance at 5:11 PM which was half hour past than the time we gave her for the misunderstanding that they had. At Kid Junction, customer is always our number one priority and we strive hard to make the customer happy, we did all we could do to satisfy the customer but she was not a happy customer at the end.Copy of her signed receipt and copy of her birthday party contract are attached to this letter along with details invoice of the party showing discount offered by an owner to make her happy. We do 10 to 15 birthday parties every weekend and regard as one of best and cleanest facility in Northern Virginia. Also we have our own warm up kitchen where we make all food as per the order. We never serve cold food to the customers as everything we serve is made to the order and we serve the best possible quality food items to the customers. Because of quality of service that we provide along with best customer service, we have hundreds of repeated customers that visit Kid Junction on regular basis.
We tried our best to make sure [redacted] and her twins had a great and fun filled birthday party at Kid Junction and we also gave her $110.64 discount to make her happy. We think that whatever discount that we have already offered her is enough and do not wish to offer anything more.
